Even you that you didn't go to boarding school, your comment still reflecting your high rate of oral immorality.

Yes, nearly that in JSS1 and SS1 cos N455 for ONLY starting term of basic seven or SS1 (one term)+ 230k for 2 terms =455+460=915k NOT 1.1m as stated by OP.

Although the difference is not much, thanks for the correction.

But these fees are for boarders. The ones that pay N100k max are probably either for day students, or are not as academically good.
Seems your level is a high one o.
I attended a Catholic boarding school, swearz my school fees covering all is about 45k.

I know things are on the rise but still the fee is high with regards to the Church.

How many of the Church Members can afford such a fee for their wards¿.

Lol. That must have been at least 10-15 years ago, in that case.

I hear people say this all the time, but I fail to understand why a church school must be expected to accommodate all its members. It's not like their donations are meant as a contribution to some educational mutual fund; and the members knew that already. High standards require high budgets, and a free school (that is the only way that the children of all the members of a church can be accommodated) of that size and magnitude would have running costs in the billions of dollars (just imagine the facilities alone required, assuming a conservative estimate of 10 million members with an average of 2 children each). Just being realistic.

I wonder why parents send their wards to boarding schools
Those schools are breeding ground for all sorts of immorality
Its like an entry to the evil world
My one year boarding in a seminary nearly destroyed me
I had to jakpa.

Definitely, this is the best. But in a world where the mother is even more engaged with her job than the father, without boarding many children will be technical almajiris.

Personally, I'm an advocate of full housewifery for a man who can afford it. You'll save a lot of money and you'll get a lot more output especially if your wife is doing homeschooling for the children. I know a friend who did it successfully. Everyone envies him.

But women's greed won't let them see any sense in it.

@the bolded. Herein lies the crux of the matter. How many of you can afford it?
Many women (pls, I didnt say all but I suspect a majority) would gladly be housewives if their husbands were rich enough to at least afford a basic standard of life (not even luxury in this case sef)
Grown men earning 80K here on NL are envied by many. How can 80K comfortably cater to any family with children without them forfeiting many necessities?
Some men on NL are earning 20K, 50K. We see them come online or their wives come on line to ask for financial assistance or tell us one sob story about hospital bills or something after delivery.
Are the men not working hard enough? Are they too busy gossiping about instead of building wealth for their families?
You friend is envied simply because he is a GOOD PROVIDER for his wife and children. The wife doesn't have to bother her head with where the next meal will come from , or what format to bring on NL to solicit for funds to feed their children.
Many women would love to be actively involved in schooling their children, arranging piano lessons, swimming classes, tennis classes etc for their children as stay at home mums with everything provided. They still get help with housekeeping too, as one person cannot do all that alone.
Why stress your life with that bank job, that nursing job that makes sure you spend odd prolonged hours at work when your husband can provide more than what your job gives? If you're so into the job, you can volunteer once a week.
Of course, some women live for their careers but majority in Nigeria are doing jobs they don't even like but have to do it for the money.
Why won't you be envious of your friend? Though the real question is, are you ready to do what your friend is doing for his family?

I am not saying that such a school should accommodate all of its church member but somehow affordable to Public understanding.

As an Anglican, I contributed to the funding of St. Paul's University Awka but their tuition is high bro...

Whenever an appeal comes up in Church. You won't see me.

Hmmm, homosexuality and lesbian are ramparts in boarding schools, it is just for the school mgt to be up and doing to checkmate it.

Good Jesus! What manner of priest will that kind of seminary produce?? I still believe that there is still someone who will have a solution. Most schools are like that

Twas for every member of congregation and of course, not everyone fulfilled all cause they won't put a gun to your head to pay up. And what do you mean by play a dangerous game of God?
flamingREED:

Not all members were called to that sacrifice.
Only those who could handle it.
And you can't say they all fulfilled it.
Let's not play the dangerous game of God.
I wasn't called upon then because I was poor too.

I've seen, long ago, a brother in Rivers Church donate #20 million for Gbagada church.
People really give big without making noise about it.
