Hello guys. I plan on traveling to Canada for a master in c.s, after my b.s.c in Nigeria.

Some factors made me consider this decision, including the fact that some nigerians believe that a c.s degree in Nigeria is a scam and it's useless. Some say you don't need a c.s degree to be a coder, programmer or app developer. Even if that's all true I just want to study c.s in Nigeria then move to Canada to further my education and probably work there.


What do you guys think of this..and what advantages do I have.

If you can afford it, it will be the best decision of your life. You get a permanent residency immediately after your studies. Stick around for like 5 years and you get a Canadian citizenship which on its own is a gateway to the world.

I am still a jambite. I am just making plans for the future. My course is just a three years course (computer science) so after that. I plan on going for masters abroad.

CS degree is a four-year program abi you dey apply as a direct-entry candidate

Go ahead if you have considerable work experience in the software industry.
Otherwise, you'll bite ur fingers.
As masters degree is no joke compared to what we do here at Bsc level.
