A Twitter user identified as FairyGbemie has narrated how she escaped contracting HIV on Valentine's day from a man she met online.

She said, if not that she used protection (condom), by now she would have been an HIV carrier. She therefore adviced women who are planning to hook up with men on the forthcoming Valentine to love wisely.


"I met a guy online around Detty December 2019, we were so in love with each other, we could talk for hours, chat till midnight. He sends me money for my hair and even give me weekly allowance of 50k. I felt so at ease with him, it was as if I've known him for a lifetime.


I was having the time of my life and we decided to meet up to get to know each other more. I traveled to Abuja to meet him during last Valentine's Day.
