Please don't read if you are easily grossed out.  I got my period yesterday around noon. I had severe "anal cramps" late in the evening, around 8:30pm. I used the bathroom and when I wiped, I saw I had some egg white mucus - water clear, but thick and draw-y. Kind of like the thing from okro. Today, I feel pain in my left side kind of like the ovulation pain I feel during some months. I have had this same experience before (the mucus during my period, and the anal cramps). I'm beginning to wonder if the mucus + anal cramps go together but since they don't happen often, I can't tell, but will definitely watch it from now on. By the way, does anyone get those 'anal cramps"? They are horrible; they stop you dead on your tracks and grip you like the devil. They always ease up and disappear after I do number 2, though. Last night I was wailing like a wailer when they came.  But I hope this -the mucus - doesn't mean I was ovulating (during my period!) because I did "bad things" (lol) the day before and I'm not ready to be preggo oh!  |

Eya! Nothing wrong --- the mucus is cum. Women often get orgasms unconsciously --- you probably need to learn more about your body. |

What you are feeling is most likely ovulation pain. Do you have a history of fraternal twins in your family? You could have ovulated twice this cycle. This is the reason why there is no true 'safe period' for unprotected intimacy when it comes to a woman getting pregnant. |

Thank you all for responding. I wanted to wait to reply until I got a new development. So! My period showed up. I'm concluding it wasn't my ovulation, just some annoying mucus and corresponding anal cramps , |
