Burnt Offering Predates The Law So Why Is It Not Practised In Churches Today by Nobody: 8:10pm On Apr 15, 2011
Someone people say that God has not changed so tithing in the Old Testament too has not stopped. Burnt Offering is also in the Old Testament and it predates the Law so why is it not practised today in churches but tithing is still practiced or is that the God of burnt offering is different from the God of tithing. This Sunday I'm going to my church with my ram to offer it as burnt offering as our God have not changed O!

It has stopped because god became a vegetarian sometime around 1332. The mere thought of burning animal flesh sickens him now.

Becos burnt offerings would not enrich the criminal elements promoting the frtaudulent and unbiblical version of tithes preached today.

Did Jesus or the disciples offer any? The blood of Jesus became the perfect sacrifice. Jesus fulfilled them.
The observation of the sabbath preceeded the law also.

^^^ Did Jesus or the apostles give tithes? The New Covenant ushered in by Christ did away with "tithes"!

The fact that scriptures were silent on it doesn't mean they didnt . They must have, they were Jews . Did they brush their mouths?

The fact that scriptures were silent on it doesn't  mean they didnt . They must have, they were Jews . Did they brush their mouths?
So you can add your own version to the Bible of things you think Jesus did, just because you can use it to collect tithes. Jesus only paid Temple tax for himself and his disciples though Jesus said we the sons are free from paying this tax, read full passage below

Matthew 17
24. When they came to Capernaum, the collectors of the two-drachma tax went up to Peter and said, "Does your teacher not pay the tax?" 25He said, "Yes." And when he came into the house, Jesus spoke to him first, saying, "What do you think, Simon? From whom do kings of the earth take toll or tax? From their sons or from others?" 26And when he said, "From others," Jesus said to him, "Then the sons are free. 27However, not to give offense to them, go to the sea and cast a hook and take the first fish that comes up, and when you open its mouth you will find a shekel.[g] Take that and give it to them for me and for yourself."

It is people like you Jesus was referring to below:

Matthew 23
4. For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men's shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers.
13. But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.

In relation to whether Jesus and apostles tithed you said

Joagbaje:

In relation to whether Jesus and the apostles made burnt offering sacrifice, you said

Joagbaje:

The observation of the sabbath preceeded the law also.

Do you see your own double standards?

EDIT: Meanwhile when Jesus was born you forget about the turtle doves that were offered?

The question was not about Jesus doing  burn offering but about churches doing  burnt offerings.Jesus fulfilled all righteousness as a Jew. God had foretold he was no longer satisfied with blood of bulls. After the blood of christ had been offered. There was no need for burnt offering. A burnt offering is a Sin offering. Jesus had fulfilled it.

Hebrews 10:12
12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;

What else did the Blood of Jesus free us from. If the Blood of Jesus has not freed us from paying tithes, then what law was taking away from us and nailed to the Cross.

Colossians 2:14
Bible in Basic English
Having put an end to the handwriting of the law which was against us, taking it out of the way by nailing it to his cross;

Hebrews 7:8
And here men that die receive tithes; but there he receiveth them, of whom it is witnessed that he liveth.
