As I type this, I'm on the bus to my dear state - Bornu State; even though my boss sent me to pick up an item yesterday and return in two week's time.

When I arrived Lagos, my first stop was Ojota bus stop; from there, I had to board a bike to one place in Oshodi.

The first bike man I saw said to me, "Fine boy, wole si bi" I had to look back to confirm if he was really talking to me, because to be honest, I am very short, charcoal black and very ugly.

Well, because he called me Fine boy, I was happy to board his bike and sat happily waiting for the second passenger.

Two minutes later, we saw one extremely ugly fellow with dirty jeans and singlet, and to my surprise, the bike man said to him, "Finest boy, wole si bi." Knowing that the bike man insulted the two of us, I came down angrily from the bike and began to trek to my destination.

On my way to Adebayo Street in Oshodi, a fellow ran into me and hugged me, saying he knew me and was my long-lost friend. Even though I wasn't sure where I knew him, I hugged him and exchanged pleasantries with him.

Before I turned back to at least say bye bye to him, he had 'carted away' my iPhone and wallet.

I'm on my way to Bornu State. Goodbye Lagos!
