LAGOS – Jimi Agbaje, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has urged the federal government to deploy rescue operations in saving the lives of the remaining students of Greenfield University who are still in the den of abductors.

It will be recalled that bandits kidnapped scores of Greenfield University and demanded a ransom of N800 million. But two days later, three of the abducted students of Greenfield University were killed by their abductors.


The Kaduna state government on Monday also announced that the bandits have killed additional two students, bringing the number to five.

In a chat with DAILY INDEPENDENT, Agbaje said: “Two more innocent students executed and deposited near their Kaduna campus with their captors undetected. A total of five executions now.

“I grieve with their parents and for my Country. Will nothing be done until they are all killed? It is obvious the only way to save the innocent students remaining is a rescue operation".
“The Federal Government must bring its best men forward to send a clear signal that enough is enough.

“If they feel they are not capable, then they should seek external assistance,” he said.
