exactly, on entering a new apartment try change not just the keys even some other fittings electricals etc., you can't tell their state of health.

She's not serious. She ought to have known all this while. Always spend money to change your entrance key whenever you move to an apartment. That's the rule of the game. Otherwise someone else may gain entrance to the apartment even in years to come meaning you were never save for one day.

Chai! Reminds me of my story too. When I moved in, I gave my aged landlady a copy of my key to give to the workmen putting the apartment together whenever I wasnt around and left it with her after I finally moved in. After close to 2 years, she called me on my way out one day to remind me that my key was still with her. Unfortunately, her miscreant teenage foster kid heard and started using it into my flat whenever I wasnt in. She would eat my food, play with my dresses, take my money, etc. Her giveaway was that she was always locking the fridge after herself, something I never did. Eventually I left her a note and added an extra lock to the door....issue resolved.


The experience left me feeling violated and disrespected which made me totally changed towards her....no more smiling with the lil cretin and I didnt report her cos she would have been beaten blue black.
