Righteousness2

Over to you!

In my opinion, I'd say life has a balance. Negative & positive, light & dark, rainfall & draught, up & down, male & female, spirit & physical. Just about anything you can think of. Where there's an all powerful Good, there has to be an all powerless Bad. Thus, Satan's existence.

ON SATAN: Remember also, God's word (is life) which cannot return back to him empty or void has spoken and created Lucifer (his opposite). The choice of becoming the bad guy was meant for satan to choose & he chose to be.

ON JESUS: God chose to send his Son, (himself) to die as a sign to prove his love to us because we humans need proof always. We want something we can identify and say: though he was divine, yet humble & loving.

Coming to God is a choice which we all take or reject, individually. If God kills the Devil, he has forced his will (GOOD) on man, which is something he doesn't do. Besides, not every one in the world likes being good. If Good is forced on man, some people will reject it, hence many Lucifers will be created. A Hydra-Dragon paradox.

Is the son dead ?

God killed someone that will rise again

The story is not clear

Son truly died. What sets him apart from other gods is the manifestation of TRUE divine power to show the world that he conquered death. It's that simple.

If it is too big for our comprehension, we shouldn't just bother about any part of the knowledge like we do now.

Paul affirms that the secret things are left for God. You have secrets as a man.. Why shouldn't God? The consolation, however, is that you can ask Him personally when/if you get to heaven. So calm that curious mind of yours till you get to the great beyond. grin

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm, thought provoking indeed.
All you need is talk to true Christians on the matter, they'll help you understand what really happened. But it's not easy to identify them!

The father created the son as the first creature {Proverbs 8:22} and the son worked with his father in creating all other things {Colossians 1:15-16} out of all the things created humans are the choicest in the son's eyes {Proverbs 8:31} so when something happens that will end the continue existence of humans the son took it upon himself to lay down his life since it's his father's standard that a perfect man must stand as a propitiatory sacrifice to bring humans out of that condition.
So God didn't kill his son but when God said "i'll wipe them out along with Satan" Jesus said "i will go and redeem them" God told Jesus everything he will encounter in the redemption process but due to the love Jesus had for humans he stoop up and said "i will go, send me" that's what made the father to swear in His anger that "whosoever will not listen to my son amongst the descendants of Adam my rage i will pour upon him/her"

That's the short story but if you want to get it clearer find one of JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES in your neighbourhood and tactfully asked him/her to explain to you.

Do have a nice day! smiley

I'm not God, so I would not dare answer on his behalf, but I can attempt with good reasoning. Questions like this tends to challenge our faith in God and the genuinity of His love. but do not be decieved God cannot be mockerd.

REASONING:
when man sinned, he did not only committed an act, he EXCHANGED his nature (the very nature of God) to that of the devil, hence having the SEED of the devil in Him. that seed is transfered to every offspring of man irrespective ( therefore we can say there's an element of the devil in every man because of the first exchange.

If God has killed SATAN, it will not make any difference because his (devil) seeds has already be replicated in men and so God has to kill every man too, but because God is a JUST and RIGHTEOUS GOD He needed to do another EXCHANGE ( giving His SON) to restore MAN to his former nature (nature of God)......God has to exchange His son BECAUSE God needed someone that is without SIN (BLAMELESS) to make that EXCHANGE, and there was no one in HEAVEN or on EARTH to make such Exchange, cept Him that is RIGHTEOUS (JESUS)......

Yes it is simple

But I guess it would have been much easier and berra for everyone if HE just killed the devil instead
It’s that simple too

That's a solution but you have forgotten that the-evil is a virus, corrupting everything it touches and multiplying very quickly, therefore another strategy will be to have it quarantined in a certain area, so that all evils can be collected in one place as a dustbin for transfer to the furnace.
Re: Why Would God Kill His Only Son Instead Of Killing Satan? by kingxsamz(m): 3:49pm On May 26, 2021
Their number one excuse is that their god is merciful and it would be unjust to kill Satan as everyone will think the god is wicked. grin
If that's the case, how come the god was quick to drown the entire earth's population including babies? Or that one is justifiable? grin
Number 2 excuse is that Satan cannot die.
If the god can't kill Satan, then why is it a god? grin

My own explanation for this fictional story is that this god and Satan are bros/besties. They work together.
If you read the job chapter, you can clearly see Satan strolling into heaven with other Angels, and his best buddy decided to place a bet with him while they laugh and discuss over drinks of beer. grin

Like I said. You can't force everyone to like you by killing the source of their hate. Some people like the world as it is. They don't believe in God, neither do they like his ways.

Jesus Christ said ask, every question you can think of included, and He will answer you. If you ask God for understanding, He will give you understanding of many of those so-called secret things so they are no longer secret to you and you will in turn be wiser for it. undecided

If your questions will not edify you, Scripture says you should shun it. Don't subtly try to use the words of Christ against that of Paul. You are quoting Christ out of context.

1. God created Satan and uses Him for His purpose so He has no reason to kill Him since what failed wasn't Satan but man. Believe it or not, Satan does the job He was created to do, quite well.

2. God created man as a way of "harvesting" for Himself "Sons of God". God did not previously lead His Truth(Knowlegde of good and evil) as well as Life(eternal life) in to man at point of creation, for a reason that leads me to believing the fall of man was not an unexpected outcome but a welcomed one. undecided

Anyways, the first man, Adam, man chose to elevate his ego and will above God by His decision, and we know how the story went. From that, God implemented His plan to "Harvest" for Himself a " People of God" whom He named Israel, using Abraham. And from the same Abraham, He continued His work to harvest for Himself Sons of God by sending Jesus Christ, a Master "Son of God" program for this purpose.

Now, Jesus Christ, the "second Adam" came preinstalled with the Truth and Life of God, something the first Adam was not created with, offering the promise of configuring all those who will submit to and obey His teachings and commandments so they become clones of Him. Yes, all those who become Sons of God through Jesus Christ are reprogrammed through installation of Jesus Christ into their programs into becoming clones of Jesus Christ, the Master program. Now you see this is why Jesus Christ had to give up His body so that instead He can live through us. undecided

You need to read that book for yourself so you gain a greater level of understanding of what it in fact tells you, rather than feeding off the vomit that comes out of the mouths od equally ignorant men. undecided

If God were to kill the one you call the devil, what that would mean is you cease to qualify as what is called a human being - you essentially become a robot. If the option to making evil choices is eliminated, you loose your ability to act of your own since the only choice that would exist to you would be that which is always good... you become no better than a programmed automaton unable to do what you please or like, and with no way of resolving any mental issues that result undecided

I Applauded your Answer when I first saw it, it was indeed very beautiful and accurate.

And when you learn to know the Mind of God as David learnt, you will be able to speak for Him and Hold his briefs too.

Remember 2 of Job's friends failed in that area and God was displeased with them. But Elihu was not affected.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH SIR.
Deu. 29:29 "the secret things belong to God, but the revealed he has given to the sons of men"

it is good we understand what we believe and to hold onto the truth, but our believe must not be hinged on understanding alone but on FAITH.
