Prophetic ministry is where prophet and prophetess operate. It is very dear to Gods heart. Amos 3:7, Daniel 2:23, psalm 91:1.

It is the ministry of secrets and information;

it makes Christians survive in the last days.

It is a ministry for declarations and declaration and proclamation.

It is a ministry of the tongue.

It is the ministry of command.

It is the ministry of boldness.

It is where deep and secrets things are revealed.

It is the ministry of blessings.

It is a ministry for cursing.

It is the ministry of deliverance based on discernment.

It is the ministry of preaching and healing, and teaching.

It is the ministry of healing, prayers and prophecy.

It is the ministry of confirmation and manifestation.

It is the ministry of speaking, before you speak you must have listened, heard, and being backed up by the Holy spirit Jeremiah 1:5, Deuteronomy 18:18

STAKEHOLDERS IN THE PROPHETIC MINISTRY.

God is the number one.

Christ is the original prophet and the giver of all gifts Ps.68:18-19, Ephesians 2:19-20.

The Holy spirit; He is the executive arm of the Holy trinity, He is the source of the power, gifts, anointing and the grace of God Amos 10:38.

1. In Genesis to Malachi we have God the father.

2. From Mathew to John it’s all about Jesus.

3. Acts to revelation talks about the Holy spirit.

Man is known as a prophet that needs to submit to the first three (3) and He is to be trained.

WHO IS A PROPHET?

1. A prophet is a person who have inside into the will and purpose of God. >>>

Please go back through and study the teachings and comandments/rules of Jesus Christ so you can learn exactly what He has instead called you to. undecided

That said, in the New Covenant Law of Jesus Christ, the Gospel of the Kingdom of God, every follower of Jesus Christ, who submits to and obeys the teachings and commandments of Jesus Christ is a defacto prophet and this, not according to Old Covenant definition of prophets but instead as described by Jesus Christ. For instance, a follower of Jesus Christ has no authority to bless or curse... that authority belongs to Jesus Christ and Christ alone. undecided

There are no "special offices" of prophecy since all those who truly belong to Him have His Spirit inside of them and so they are His prophets.... I.e. Jesus Christ Himself lives His life through them. undecided

Please realize that you are not called to serve God under Old Covenant rules but under Jesus Christ and you are called to preach only the Gospel of the Kingdom of God as taught to you by Jesus Christ. You have no authority teaching man's doctrines and traditions to anyone in the name of God. undecided

He has explained to his own understanding and so have you. However that doesn't make him right or you right either. You have to go into your scriptures and understand it better too so you know what you are missing. I won't engage you in a debate but will simply ask you to study the new testament over again without leaving out the old testament. The two cannot exist without each other.

Op is right in his explanation but he may not simply have the words to organize them however he has described it in the simplest way he can.

The fact that you don't believe does not mean he is wrong. It is like the issue of the doubting Thomas who was not convinced until he touched the wounds on the hands of Jesus. There are real prophets today in every church and I don't mean the performers or actors.

I mean the very silent people who are just coming into their calling and those who have been used by God in many ways to intercede for others, guide his sheep and also perform simple wonders. Nobody knows them, they are not popular, they are everyday people like you and I.

Yes it is the job of every body on earth to especially the children of God to spread the gospel but don't confuse that with the prophet. They also have this primary responsibility as well as others. Everybody has a role in the body of Christ. Some are called to be evangelists, teachers, pastors, apostles and prophets. Many are also gifted in the administration of the church, welfare and other areas. Every thing is in place for the fulfillment of the word of God.

The last days are here and there will be aggressive evangelism. People need to know what their role is in preparation for the return of Christ. We all have a purpose on earth and we should know it. The reason there is awareness being raised about ministries and spiritual gifts is not for show or to make people think they are special.

It is to let them sit up and quickly move closer to God so he can use them for his purpose. On the day of judgement we will all account for our deeds and works. We cannot play ignorance. Please know what your role is and don't let any pastor deceive you that nobody hears from God except them. It is the false teachings of the antichrist that pushes people away from God and makes them only listen to the words of man.

Anyway good night and stay blessed.

Take time to once again read what I wrote..

There is only one Truth and that is Jesus Christ. Any other form of Truth is a lie!

1. According to Jesus Christ, everyone of these who belong to Him are defacto prophets as God Himself speaks through ALL of them - not some. undecided

2. According to Jesus Christ, everyone who belongs to Him, He, Jesus Christ, the Son of God, lives His life through. undecided

3. According to Jesus Christ, everyone, who belongs to Him, is equal. There are no Teachers, Masters/Head, shepherds, Rabbis or authorities, helpers, comforters, guides etc.. in His Kingdom but He and He alone. undecided

4. According to Jesus Christ, the only preparation necessary to becoming one of His own, and this for everyone, is that each continue to submit and obey His His and commandments as this alone is how one qualifies to enter into His Kingdom through the narrow gate, be set free from sin, become a Son of God, receive the Spirit of God and even do works of Righteousness, the very Will of God. There is no other way but the way given by Jesus Christ. undecided

Any other "truth" that seeks to counter the above claims made by Jesus Christ is nothing but a lie. undecided
Re: What Is Prophetic Ministry by peggywebbs(f): 10:42pm On May 27, 2021
That is not true and that is not what he taught if not he wouldn't have given Peter the keys to the church and given him the responsibility to plant his church.

Everyone of the disciples had their functions and responsibilities even Judas Iscariot was known to handle the finances. So please go and study your bible again, see where each of the disciples who were later referred to as apostles, where they functioned.

Everyone's work is cut out for them. Please discover your true purpose and don't let anyone decieve you that everything is general. We are all equal in the eyes of God. Like I said these are responsibilities not titles, being a prophet doesn't make you special, it means you have a job to do and you should get on it.

Even Jesus emphasized that the first shall be the last. The call to any job description is for service which means you should be ready to give your life for the gospel. Please go and study the word of God and stop arguing with people. Know the truth. Jesus did not teach us to argue with ourselves, the word of God is there as a moral compass, to guide us on the true purpose of God.

Offices and ministries are not high positions, it means service. And it means you are ready to carry your cross and follow Jesus. Find out what your cross is?

1. Where do you get that Jesus Christ told Peter to plant His Church? undecided

2. What makes you believe that that the key Jesus Christ gave Peter is the key to His church? undecided

3. Judas carried the purse for is group, but that isn't sufficient evidence to support the doctrine of different offices in the Kingdom of God. For one, carrying the purse for the group has more to do with cares of this world, than it does matters that pattern to the carrying out of God's Will where His Kingdom is concerned. So can you please provide other evidence of this assumption you make ? undecided

4. When Jesus Christ stated the first shall be the last, the explanation He provided for this does not have anything to do with what you claim. Matthew 20 vs 1-16 more than explains to anyone paying attention that what Jesus Christ meant by that statement has absolutely nothing to do with what you claim. undecided

At this point, I think you should take your own advice and spend time actually reading through the Gospel of the Kingdom of God as taught by Jesus Christ, instead of reviewing it through the words you have heard from your Mogs. Recall that Jesus Christ warned us of blind teachers who wlll only lead us to fall into the same ditch that they fall in if we follow them. undecided

According to Jesus Christ, there are only one people in His Kingdom and they are, everyone of them, Sons of God, Prophets of God sent out with God's own Truth to preach to the world, and all of them given the same work to do. This He spoke of in so many parables, including the one parable in Matthew 20 vs 1 -16
Re: What Is Prophetic Ministry by peggywebbs(f): 4:58pm On May 28, 2021
You do realise that there are like three portions of the new testament where Jesus made that reference in different contexts and you conveniently decided to pick a bible passage Matt 20 for yourself.

You were also able to admit that Judas was in charge of finances and failed to acknowledge every other role of the disciples.

You also conveniently misinterpreted my meaning of church. Church is not a structure, it is the body of Christ which is you and I. We make up the church of God. Jesus Christ is the head of the church. Peter was handed keys to begin that church of which Christ was the foundation.

So please and please instead of going about nairaland trying to disprove Christians, why not learn. You always insinuate people are listening to MOGs. You do realise that we have been talking about scripture which I study very well on my own. Stop assuming everyone is somebody's flock.

Not everyone will be singing, not everyone will carry a mic to go evangelizing all at the same time. Everyone has a role in the propagation of the word of God and that is what offices and ministries are for.

Jesus Christ was the teacher of the disciples and he trained them on how to carry on his work. Everything the disciples did was in obedience to Jesus Christ's instruction and that is what we follow today.

Many people have made doctrines out of it and come up with their own theories. However, the truth remains for everyone who chooses to read scripture without filtering which one they like and the one they don't agree with. From Matthew to the Acts of the Apostles, every part of the gospel is very important.

1. So what are the contexts you speak of providng different meanings for that statement Jesus Christ made, "the first shall be the last and the last shall be the first"?

2. What were the roles of the other disciples? undecided

3. According to the Gospels, what Peter was instead handed was the keys to the Kingdom of Heaven, and not key to the church, this according to Matthew 16 vs 19. I don't know where you came up with Peter being the one to set up churches and the other things you claim. undecided

4. Singing, carrying a mic, evangelizing, let me guess, handling church finances... and all other roles necessary for the running of your church businesses here on earth. So what has any of that to do with what Jesus Christ in fact spent approximately 4 years teaching His disciples to do? What has that to do with letting the light of Jesus Christ, the Truth of God, shine in our individual lives or are you somehow convinced this light is meant to help you sing, carry mic, or handle the finances of whatever group you belong to? undecided

5. Jesus Christ told you that the only teaching you are to trust and obey is His teachings and His teachings alone. He declared that all other teachings that do not conform to His teachings are lies and nothing but. All throughout His time on earth, He stressed the fact that in His Kingdom all were called... the same call goes out to all and all those who answer are called Sons of God.... all of them equal and doing the same work. It is His teachings , His Word, that will judge us in the end - not the teachings of Peter, James, Paul, etc. No, we will all be judged the very words and commandments of Jesus Christ alone. undecided
If you choose to ignore Jesus Christ so you can elevate the teachings of another over His, you are also guilty of following the doctrines and traditions of men, it is that simple. undecided

1) Read your bible...it shows you have much to learn.

2) Read your bible..find out each of their roles.

3) You again decided omit the word of God..let me help you that statement started from Mattew 16:18-19, He was still referring to Peter and his church. You have a lot to learn about the word of God.

4) Did you really think I was talking about a church building? You really need to study the word of God. Each person has a role in the service of God Almighty.

5) You again chose to take the part of the books that conveniently appeal to you. Then what was the purpose of Jesus Christ appointing his Disciples, why was that the very first act he did when he started his ministry. Why did he send the disciples out on their first missionary journey and second. Why did he train them to carry on the gospel after he leaves? Why did he appear to them after he resurrected? Why did he send them the Holy Spirit to guide them on their journey?

What is the point of the book of revelation. After all Jesus Christ did not say those words, you can as well disregard John. You see, you have just exposed what is happening in the church today. Christians are divided among themselves. You have equated the apostles to the pastors of today and therefore regarded their messages as not relevant.

You really need to go back to genesis down to revelation to understand what it really is to serve God. Please know him better and stop assuming you know it all. I am still learning, and I want to know more about the God I'm serving.

Stay blessed.

Is it so difficult to study the Bible? I already made reference to where the information is. Do your studies. I won't spoon feed you.

Everything about the disciples of Jesus Christ is written in the new testament.

As for the reference to Jesus Christ's remarks you will find them in the first four books of the new testament. If you study enough you will learn the role of the disciples and maybe understand how they are very much not to be compared to charlatan pastors today.
