oakoni: it depends on the type of visa. Visiting visa is about 10K application fees. U will need an Invitation letter from SA, with a copy of the the invitee ID or passport, i heard they prefer South african ID. Ur 3months bank statement or payslip, letter from ur employer. the earlier u apply the better. because it might take u 2months to get a date. |

Thanx.I also heard for a first timer you have to pay a refundable fee of 81k.Is this true? |

its 83k. it depends, on what other document u present. if u have got a stable job in Nigeria or if u have travelin history they wont ask for 83k. it also depends on ur age, anything less than 30 might have to pay it also depends on who is invitin u etc, |

You can apply for a south African Visa with Hotel or Holiday reservation. Depending on your travel history and job experience, south african visa is almost a surety. The 83k repartrition fee is refundable |

That is not true, Nigerians need a valid Visa to visit South Africa for any length of stay even with the e-passport |

na wa oooooo, common south africa that we helped in times of trouble we need all this wahala to got thier visa , i have been to south africa 3 time , and there is nothing fascinating there. Seychelles is far far far far better. |

South Africa ( S.A ) is a nice place to be,haven't been there but i heard alot about the country, in the issue of VISA, i suggest you travel from ghana since nigeria is too difficult,you no immigration wahala? well i'm a traveller and i guess this help.  |
