Radio presenter, Michael Effiong has placed Nigeria lower division side, FC Ebedei above many clubs in the Nigeria Professional Football League. The Kpoko FM Warri presenter said this via his Facebook page;

I think there is a lot to learn from FC Ebedei when it comes to the financial part of football and pushing of players to Europe. This club is far ahead of many teams in the NPFL when it comes to marketing of players.
Ebedei are in the third division of the Nigeria league chart, but there is a wider chance to make it to Europe through the club than other clubs in the NPFL. The big question is, what is Ebedei doing that other teams aren't doing?

First, they signed a deal with Danish side, FC Midtjylland. This made the club an academy to the Danish club. It gives an open door for players in the club to have an easy switch to Europe without having problem.

Secondly, the success of the their deals with FC Midtjylland have given them an easy route to the European market. Clubs in Europe are likely to do deals with them because of their no-problem history.

Thirdly, the club chose to play in the lower division in order to cut cost. The cost of running a team in the NPFL isn't the same like the lower leagues. They tapped from that wisdom and chose the lower side with a higher return.

Fourthly, there is a big possibility that the club will have it own share for every deal done by their ex-players in the future. Sign-one percentage is a sensible way to cashout. Another way to generate revenue.

Imagine signing a player for €150k? That will look small in the European transfer market, but for a lower division team like Ebedei, it is everything. This is more than N60 million. Wisdom.

Products of Ebedei are Obafemi Martins, Paul Onuachu, Brentford new signee; Frank Onyeka, Akeem Agbetu, Oluwafemi Ajilore, Sylvester Igboun etc. FC Ebedei are business-oriented.
