Mine is sex addiction.. Or maybe I just think I am, at least I have never paid prostitute for sex.. I was, doing different girls, different race, white, black, purple, pink. long story short I am 18 months now no sex. I don't know if I have overcome the temptation yet.. Cos when I am idle I think of the good old days. But we move. Just want my future wife to enjoy me and not me going different places, for sex

For me my sex addiction is on another level. I don't drink, smoke or do drugs

I consider myself a highly-functional junkie. It helps me to cope with the vissitudes of life especially in obodo Lagos. Why I no go high, na me create myself? Life hard abeg. The problem begins when you begin to feel guilty about the act or when you start to over-indulge to the point where it starts to affect your life. I suspect you are guilty of both.

I just wish I could stop smoking these damned cigarettes and at the same time, I don't want to stop. But I must!

What a conundrum.
I smoke weed regularly and I wonder why people smoke cigarette, that shit weaks my body on the first puff, I can hardly finish a stick of cigarette.

So many junkies on this thread

There is no romanticizing it , you all used your hands to füvk up your lives and most of you will end up with kidney failure, failed careers , failed lives and marriages . Infact most of you are naturally narcissistic sociopaths that's why you ended up as addicts

This isn't a movie, by the time most of you reach your forties your spinal chords would be fücked , 99% of the women will be barren from drug abuse ...

Sorry but there is no rainbow at the end for 99% of you, only regret , bad health and psychotic breaks

I think you need more than drug rehabilitation.
Many things are wrong in your life and around you (won't totally blame you for them.)

Like you need both change of environment and change of your choice of friends.
You don't need carefree people around you at all. You also need a new spiritual connection and the best spiritual connection I know through my experiences is the spiritual connection to Jesus Christ.
Please note I am not talking of being religious or going church.

So you need a whole lots of reorientation.

Truth is this will require fighting especially the fight of faith. This addiction is not a fight you can do alone no matter the advise we give you .

If possible leave that house to a better place.. maybe a family member house who's living the life you want and let them mentor you and help you through.

But the best person that could assist you through it is God! But I understand how we give up on God because sometimes He seems so far away but He's not.

This addiction of a thing is demonic and we know it but truth is if you are a very strong willed individual no demon can keep you down for long.

All this plenty comments might not help because this is not a fight you can definitely do alone. You need a helper. Let the Holy spirit help try your best to come back to how you first believed, then allow God lead you to who will assist you through this fight because its not going to be easy.
. Nothing Good comes Easy

I PRAY YOU BREAK OUT SO YOU CAN BEGIN TO HELP OTHERS BREAK OUT TOO

No I am not , I just don't suffer fools nor do I encourage indulging them.

These people decided of their own freewill toess up their lives due to selfishness.

These people are self absorbed, self centered, delusional immature adult babies. They care about nothing or anyone but their addiction. If they cared about even just their parents do you think they will be addicts today? No they won't !!

But these lesser humans decided to ruin their lives and now they want advise and sympathy. Look at that one boasting about having been to rehab 5 times!! Imagine that idiot. It's it's parents paying for the rehab o, but the demon is wasting the money . These addicts are not human beings and don't deserve any pity. They sooner turn violent if you don't give them the money for their drugs. If your wife or gf is an addict be certain she will give you HIV or HeP.C or B
She will open her legs for every single drug seller who is willing to give her drugs for a fück.. the lady who Wrote doesn't want to tell you the dark aspects. She has süvked different dìcks just to get a line of ice.

Bro, the only reason that makes a human commit evil is ignorance.

While punishing a person for their misconduct, please, remember that they are still humans.

Everybody likes better thing.

There were so many reasons that made her indulge in the act in the first place.

Please give your life to Christ. Accept Him as your Lord & saviour. You have tried everything with your money, why not try Jesus, who is free for all who will accept him. You can be free. With God all things are possible.

What youve said about the effects of addiction is all true, but how do you feel telling folks who ask for help THAT THERE'S NO HOPE?!!!

you could say what they do is wrong but try and give hope and encouragement.

Your comments have equally made you equally a fellow suffering from NPD (Narcissistic Personality Disorder).

Yoi may deny it, but thats the also a symptom of NPD.

Learn to be encouragement to someone.

1st you need to assure yourself that drug addiction can take your life and prepare your mind that you won't like to die from it.

You need change of environment , find a family member or friend you trust that doesn’t do drugs or take alcohol. Reside with them for months, be ready for withdrawal symptoms, you need to cut friends and family member that does and have access to drugs off, it’s painful but your life is more important . We fuel our own addictions most times , it’s a thing of the mind , you need lots of self determination to conquer it. I was addicted to cigarettes and codeine for years , stopped and went back to it for years, it’s not an easy journey but you will survive it

Can't really place. A finger on what am lacking...

Am not lacking money... Not lacking shelter not lacking food but I still feel empty

You might not get what am trying to pass across

What you're lacking is love, the kind that only Jesus can give. Jesus loves you and He has His arms open wide telling you to come just as you are. He won't condemn you in fact you're one reason He sacrificed Himself. He loves you that much. You are valuable to Him.

In the confines of your room, call on Him today. Shout it loud, 'Lord Jesus, help me. Reveal Yourself to me. I have come just as I am. Please, help me."

He will come through for you with His overwhelming love and help you to also love yourself rightly to be able to quit any habit that is damaging.

You can send a PM for further discussions. Take care and always remember that Jesus loves you.
