I shake my head reading some comments here, the US did not pulled out of Afghanistan because they lost the war, they pulled out willingly to save cost and also because it is the right thing to do, do you know it cost the US trillion of dollars yearly tax payers money just to stationed troops in Afghanistan? Kuddles to Joe bidden because he did the right thing, US spent 20 years in Afghanistan and they have done their part. Putin was castigating the US for pulling out, Russia can pick up from where the US left, at least they have the manpower and resources too, so let russia or china send their forces to Afghanistan too to continue from where the US left. If taliban like make them kill everbody for Afghanistan thats their buisness, and the US should look the other way because every nation has the absolute right to govern itself

You think it's that easy to get spare parts from American suppliers when you are under sanction? Ask Iranians. The commercial planes and F-16s Americans sold to them during the shah's regime are crumbling to pieces. Even China couldn't help them with spare parts for the planes. Iran has to apply for a special sanction waiver to the US government so that the US govt would approve the sale of spare parts for their aging fleets of Boeings.

If it were that easy to fabricate parts, why didn't they turn to Russia and China for help?

Iran's Islamic goverment got their hands on American f16 fighters left for them by the Shah in 1979. Five years later all of those planes were grounded. No spare parts. And the US was their enemy
