Good afternoon guys. I'm confused and don't know what to do.
So I rented this self contained last month with the help of an agent totalling 210,000 for a year. Though I visited the house once but never notice that the toilet is filled up. Just this morning I went there with a painter to repaint the house to my taste and I perceive an offensive odour from the bathroom angle. I stepped in and open the bath door to my surprise the WC was boiling with feaces all over the floor. I inform the landlady/landlord but their answers shocked me, and they said " it's not our duty to evacuate the feaces but other tenants living there are to do it". I just told them to get my money money ready if by next week the toilet is not good for use. The problem now is, they both told me if I want my money return I should bring someone else to rent the house so they can refund me my money. At this point I'm confused cause no body will want to rent that house the way it is, also the 7 tenants there said only two persons has made contribution toward the evacuation of that debris.
The question is, how best can I handle this issue?
