Don't conclude this is fictional because I know a guy who is presently in same mess right now. He works in a poultry and makes quite a lot of money there being that he is the only one in charge,started taking caring of a small girl he likes in the area right from secondary school till she gain admission for ND which the family of the girl were aware of in fact they also leeched on him almost on daily basis. Now the girl has "jammed" a yahoo guy and she is through with her ND, no longer answering the poor guy's call or anything same with her family too. The is crying around now because for the past 5yrs or more he has being the one providing everything for her including her school fees so you see why it's advisable that a guy shouldn't be that dull and stupid at the same time
