The Misinformation Of The Modern Day Igbo Man And Why It Is Causing Anger In Him by HEAVEN4444: 9:31am On Oct 23, 2021
First off I would like to say that the entity called Nigeria today as it stands is a creation of the igbo elites. The modern day igbo man is either unaware of this fact or aware but pretends not to be aware. And the ones who are unaware walk around angry because they feel they are victims but that is only because they are not aware of the real story.

The entity called Nigeria today when it was in transition to be handed over to Nigerians by the colonialists was handed over to Nnamdi Azikiwe Jr who ruled the country for 3 years. Now while he was ruling the top brass in the military were igbos. Nnamdi Azikiwe seeing all the powers igbo had decided he wanted to extend that power autonomously all over nigeria and started the campaign to remove all regional governments so thaat power will be centralised. all the regional governments fought against this but Azikiwe was hellbent on making this happen. He said IT IS PROSCRIBED BY GOD THAT THE IGBO MAN SHOULD RULE NIGERIA . anyway further down the line there was a coup to kill all the regional government leaders and what do you know ? Nnamdi Azikiwe and igbo elites were spared while all the other regional leaders was killed and then in comes Aguiyi Ironsi another igbo man who put down the law that ALL REGIONAL GOVERNMENTS ARE BANNED FROM HITHERTO. and such was the end of regions having their own powers and power was centralised to the igbo man. now while all this was going on we had awolowo and enahoro lobbying that there must be secessional clause that if we dont like what is happening centrally that we can opt out of this central government but aguiyi and ojukwu created laws to MUTE THE SECESSIONAL CLAUSE meaning you have no chance of declaring yourself an independent country, you are stuck with the NIGERIA project. AND SO HERE WE HAVE THE IGBO ELITES NOT ONLY REMOVE REGIONAL POWER AND UNIFY THE POWER AT THE MIDDLE BUT THEY ALSO REMOVED ANY CHANCE YOU HAVE TO OPT OUT OF THIS CENTRAL GOVERNMENT IF IT BECOMES CORRUPT. and that is the nigeria we have today ? a corrupt central government and the inability to secede out of it. All thanks to Nnamdi Azikiwe and Ojukwu and Aguiyi Ironsi. Now the reason they were doing all this is the shortsightedness of not understanding that you cant hold on to power forever. Also the shortsightedness in not seeing that the majority of the countrys population is hausa and if you create a central government they will eventually dominate the country and no other region will have any chance at power because it is ONE MAN ONE VOTE, but see the igbo elites just were not thinking ahead. they just wanted all the power at that point in time. And this modern day declaration of biafra ? it cannot happen because the igbo elites have removed the secession clause from the constitution

. And so the igbo man walks around wandering why he has never tasted power since then but he is not understanding all this is his own creation. you removed regional government and then banned secessional clause in a majority hausa country ( one man one vote ), what were you expecting ? the ability to now get power now from the hausa now only depends on how much of a sagacious and charismatic politician you are, which as of today only the yoruba tribe has been able to produce these types of men who can politic with the hausa-fulani and appeal to them to share the power with them. And on a side note, while the igbo man was on top, there was an ijaw man who felt that the oil from his region was not benefitting his region and he started the first secessional movement in the history of nigeria to declare the south south a republic ( he is the originator of this-i want to secede out of nigeria), his name is ISAAC ADAKA BORO, guess what ojukwu did to him ? ojukwu crushed him and his movement and it was BORO ADAKAS movement that made ojukwu and aguiyi to remove the secessional clause from the nigerian constitution. a few months later when the hausas took over ? the same ojukwu who removed the secessional clause now declared biafra wants to secede from nigeria LMAOOO.

" ....the same ojukwu who removed the secessional clause now declared biafra wants to secede from nigeria LMAOOO...."

Where and when did Ojukwu remove the secessional clause?... cheesy

Even if he did, Lugard joined the north and the south...Britain later gave Nigeria independence...

So whatever Zik or Ojukwu did was not carved in diamond...All human laws can be amended. No law is meant to last forever without changes and the society evolve.

well you have to have people willing to amend the laws and right now the majority who are ruling dont want to amend it. which i am sure if you are the majority ruling you will not want it amended too.you dont demand power, you take power, and if you are not strong anough to take it, the powers that be will crush you. ADAKA BORO ISSAC attempted to take some power from Aguiyi and Ojukwu and they crushed him. thats him in the pic below after ojukwus boys caught him. so as it stands right now you are going to have to crush over 100 million hausas and about 10 million fulani herdsmen if you want power in this nigeria lmaoooo. thanks to zik and aguiyi and ojukwu

Another unintelligent revisionist garbage, this is what happens when you play recourse to emotions bereft of common sense and logic and historical junks concocted from a place of sheer ignorance.

So let's agree Nnamdi Azikiwe amended the clause that was against Secession in the constitution, does that mean Nnamdi Azikiwe was so powerful and feared by his colleagues from the other regions that he single-handedly changed the constitution all by himself with no single opposition from the other regional leaders? what were the likes of Awolowo, Tafawa Balewa, Ahmadu Bello etc doing when Azikiwe was drafting this clause... sleeping? or just playing lip service while one man all by himself defined the cause of history for a whole nation? What political power did Azikiwe even wield that gave him so much uninhibited authority?... even a half-wit would be smart enough to decipher the gobbledygook and conjectural garbage you posit as historical fact.

You keep blaming Ironsi for the unification decree, but how come the regional governments weren't abrogated in that same decree? cause last time I checked my history books, all the regional governments were still very much intact under Ironsi's short-lived government, so how exactly was regionalism tampered with? This is what happens when you let myopia and ignorance outlast intelligence and informed RESEARCH.

if you claim Azikiwe and Ironsi were responsible for forcing us into "One Nigeria" (even though that's not pure rubbish), how long did Irosni and Azikiwe last in power? the former lasted just 6 months before he was assassinated in the revenge coup, while the later mostly served as a ceremonial president with power of legislation incumbent upon the prime Minister who was a Northerner... so how truly influential were these men in the large scheme of things? or are we just exaggerating facts to serve our ethnic biases at the expense of historical equanimity?

Lastly the North and the South west have jointly enjoyed more power in Nigeria right from military to democratic rule since the First republic in the 60's when Igbos lost their political power due to the Nigerian civil war... how come all the successive regimes of Yoruba and Northern military/civilian governments didn't amend the same constitution they claimed was drafted by Ironsi and Azikiwe? abi was it Ironsi that created more states in 1966 (thus permanently destroying regionalism), or was it Igbos that drafted the 1996 constitution?

Nigerians will never fail to disappoint with their palpable ignorance.

Are you saying there was a seccesion clause in the Nigeria Constitution when Aguyi ironsi became the head of state or Awolowo and the Enahoro wanted it to be passed as a decree by Ironsi?

I only know Awolowo wanted the seccesion clause before independence.

It was not Ojukwu as OP stated. It was Azikiwe who never denied what he did and even bragged about it.

Documented History is there to educate us and remind everyone of the role our fathers and grandfathers played in getting us where we are today. OP is however totally correct that the actions of Igbos is directly responsible for where Nigeria is today.

I woukd add that the North, right behind Igbos, is the next main culprit for the negatives attached to where Nigeria is today.

The North partnered with Azikiwe to frustrate Awolowo.

The last chapter below shows why Igbos are an unreasonable people who would go on to blame Yorubas, till today, for their civil war loss while it was Azikiwe who made Ojukwu's attempt at secession unconstitutional and treasonous meaning Nigeria had to go to War against Biafra.

I just wonder when you Igbos will ever develop the decency and honesty to apologize to others for what you did instead of continuing to present yourselves, till today, as victims of Yoruba "betrayal" when your grandfathers and fathers were the historically verified betrayers.

https://www.google.com/amp/s/pmnewsnigeria.com/2019/04/27/flashback-why-i-opposed-awolowo-on-secession-zik/%3famp=1

Flashback: Why I opposed Awolowo on secession - Zik

By Nnamdi Azikiwe

When the 1954 constitution conference started, my good friend, Chief Obafemi Awolowo tabled a motion to the effect that in the new constitution, provision should be made that any state which feels like seceding should do so. I was opposed to it and said ‘no’ and said that once we have a federation, we are indivisible and perpetual.

That was when we began to use that expression – ‘The Indivisibility and perpetuity of the federation’ – and that to secede would amount to treason. And so, a debate ensued.

The Secretary of State then was Oliver Littleton, later Lord Chandos and he was very much interested and that was his first time in saying that the people of African descent were people actually debating at a high level.

So a full day was given to Chief Awolowo to make his points. He spoke brilliantly as a lawyer. He made his points why secession should be incorporated in the constitution. He cited the case of the Soviet Union which is a federation, and that secession is written there so that any state in the Soviet Union can secede at will. He also cited the case of Western Australia and eventually he finished his case and was applauded.

Lord Chandos said that on the face of the arguments before him it would be suicidal to incorporate secession in our constitution and that is why we have section 86 in our constitution that if any region or state should secede, then it will be an act of treason.

We adjourned. The next day, I had to reply. I availed myself of the opportunity to, well, demolish the arguments of my friend and I cited the case of United States which based its constitution on that of the Swiss Confederation.

That is Switzerland. I pointed out a case, I think, that of Texas versus White, where Mr. Salmon Chase, the Chief Justice laid down the principle – he was really an arbiter – that the union was intended to be perpetual and indivisible and that any attempt to divide the union by secession was treasonable.

The North (NPC) supported Action Group. The question was then: Should we have secession? The Colonial Office came to our rescue. You know, the usual principle of Britain – ‘divide and rule’ (laughs) but this time, it was in our favour. So, the colonial office backed us.

Lord Chandos said that on the face of the arguments before him it would be suicidal to incorporate secession in our constitution and that is why we have section 86 in our constitution that if any region or state should secede, then it will be an act of treason and that was what led to this war, because Col. Ojukwu seceded and so violated the constitution.

When you check threads on Nairaland during GEJ tenure, you will hardly find an Igbo man talking about Biafra on Nairaland.

Indeed. Historically observant Nigerians know that Igbos are a people who are disruptive and belligerent when they are not in charge, dominant over others or in control of the commonwealth and direction of Nigeria.

It is a common pattern wherever Igbos go. They begin dragging territory with indigenes and laying claim to what they will never allow others to sniff in ala Igbo juat because they feel they have a divine right to control everything and everyone.

Historical evidence show that Igbos have only ever schemed to control power for their own selfish agendas and not to deliver progress for Nigeria. That is the main reason Nigerians cannot unite to vote an Igbo President. The fear is that Igbos can never be fair to others or tolerant of them wnough to represent them fairly.

As you rightly identified, and in very recent history, their behaviour under the GEJ Presidency was a classic demonstration of what Igbos are.

They even managed to display a bigger sense of entitlement under the GEJ Presidency than the Ijaw kinsfolk of Jonathan !!!!

Rather than advocate for GEJ to use the Presidency for vital reformation that would transform Nigeria, they wete more about "na our time" chopulation and vendetta against others like the Yorubas and the Northerners.

Most offensive about Igbos is how they continue to brainwash their children that they are victims of Yoruba betrayal and backstabbing without telling them the truth which is that Igbos were the original betrayers and backstabbers of others at pivotal stages in Nigeria's history to create many of the developments that now see us where we are today.

This is indeed what they did but Igbos, from one generation to the next, continue to pass on the fraudulent indoctrination message that Yorubas are to blame for their civil war loss whereas it was Azikiwe, in collusion with the North, who ensured Awolowo's secession clause attempt was defeated.

Azikiwe suceeded in making it formal for any attempt at secession to be viewed as treason Nigeria will be compelled to move against with all her might.

This was what led to the civil war after Ojukwu declared Biafra illegally and against the explicit instruction of the Nigerian constitution.

Instead, till today, Igbos continue to insult Awolowo over their civil war loss when it would be far more appropriate to curse Azikiwe for his greed and shortsightedness and also Ojukwu for his lawlessness and total disregard for the explicit provision of the Nigerian constitution.

Any historians in the house to vet this:
Forgotten History Of Igbo Tribe And Northern Alliance?
Do you know that when Tafawa Balewa was Prime Minister of Nigeria;
Chief of Army Staff was from SE
Chief of Naval Staff was from SE
IG of Police was from SE
Chief of Defence Staff was from SE
Internal Affairs Minister SE
External Affairs Minister SE
Education Minister South SE
Many other key ministries to SE
Parliament President SE
Unilag VC from SE
The University of Ibadan VC from SE
North resisted same at ABU!
Still, there was dissatisfaction by SE, the officers from the region killed this same Balewa!!!!
Out of all the most senior officers in Nigeria, SE has 37, none was killed. 8 from the north, all of them were killed. 10 from the west, 2 were killed.
Then Ironsi imposed a unitary system of government on the country so that everything can belong to a region who snatched it!
We must know our history so that when we want to make corrections, we will not end up concealing the truth. This has nothing to do with tribalism but everything to do with the truth.....at times when lies litter the streets. There is a tendency to think those are truths and facts.
*What follows are documented facts that can be cross-checked for authenticity!"*
Thou shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free.
*“Prof. Ben Nwabueze was the man who drafted the constitution that took away powers from regions and handed it to the central government because his brother Aguiyi Ironsi was the head of state then but some ignorant or selfish people limit their accusations to only Abdussalam Abubakar constitution that give birth to current democratic govt. Today, they're shouting restructuring that they helped to destroy. We won’t forget.”*.
WHAT SOME GROUP OF PEOPLE WILL NEVER TELL U ABOUT THEIR WOES
The Igbo man is known to enjoy blaming the Hausa fulanis, Yorubas and indeed every other Nigerian tribe and Lord Luggard/Britain for their seeming claim of being in third class citizen status in Nigeria. In their perpetual attempts to play the victim card, they recount the political events of Nigeria from 1914 to the present in a half-baked and highly selective manner which cleverly avoids the mention of the roles played by their elite who by all natural laws of judgement were actually responsible for the woes that befell not only the Igbo race but the entire Nigeria nation.
However, the national archives have the complete and unedited history of Nigeria regarding the political events beginning way back from even before 1914.
Shortly after the 1914 Amalgamation of the Northern and Southern Protectorates, it started getting clear that the country was bound to fail as the amalgamation in question was done with colonial fiat without the consent and consensus of the different tribes which were over 300. This prompted the political leaders to start asking for de-amalgamation so as to forestall the future danger which the forced amalgamation portended.
To that end, Ahmadu Bello, speaking on behalf of the Northern protectorate in 1944 described the amalgamation as "The mistake of 1914 which if allowed to remain will ultimately lead to unstoppable bloodshed and a failed country".
Awolowo, speaking on behalf of the Yorubas and Western minorities, described Nigeria as a mere geographical expression not qualified to be called a country let alone a nation. Awolowo added that if the amalgamation could not be reversed, then Nigeria should be structured as a strictly federal state so as to enable each tribe enjoy autonomy this freedom from being dominated by any one single tribe.
But Nnamdi Azikiwe, speaking for the Igbos, denounced Awolowo and Ahmadu Bello, terming them ethnic champions. He accused them of nursing a sectional agenda against the unity of Nigeria, and he declared further that the Unity of Nigeria was non-negotiable.
After moving the motion for independece in 1953, Anthony Enahoro proposed that a secession clause should be incorporated into the future constitution of Nigeria so as to give legal backing for any tribe to peacefully exit the forced union if it feels marginalized in future. According to Enahoro, such provision in our constitution would instill in all Nigeria's future leaders the fear of the consequences of misgovernance. But Azikiwe, speaking on behalf of Igbos, rose against him in the parliament and labelled him an agent of disunity, and enemy of Nigeria. At a later date, Awolowo too made a case for secession clause, but Azikiwe again resisted him and instigated the colonial authorities to threaten him and Enahoro with charges of treasonable felony if they didn't stop proposing secession clause for the future constitution. While Azikiwe did all these, Igbos cheered and urged him on because they felt the future Nigeria was theirs to dominate and lord it over every other tribe
Before independece, Tafawa Balewa too had in a public speech described Nigeria as a British experiment and Nigeria's unity as a British intention which Nigerians themselves don't believe in. But Azikiwe kicked and demonized him too. Had Azikiwe co-operated with Enahoro, Awolowo, Ahmadu Bello and Tafawa Balewa about the secession clause, Nigeria perhaps would not have been this misgoverned.
It should be noted that there were many Igbo members of the parliament in which Azikiwe fought against Awolowo's secession clause proposal in the link above, but not a single one of them rose against Azikiwe or condemned him.
Igbos initially never wanted to hear anything like secession in Nigeria because they so much believed, though falsely, that they were the most educated tribe.
As an evidence of Igbo domination agenda hence their initial resistance to the idea of secession; here is a quote:
"From all indications, the god of us Igbos have destined us to rule the whole of Africa"
Northerners have clearly known this & will never succumb to cheap political trick, how can u call us backward and at the same time asking us to go back to 1963 constitution talkless of even amending the current constitution?

Grayoso:

Do you still kill twins in your village? LMAOOOO...
See how you are screaming, whereas you can't even copy what you read correctly.

very very valid, Igbo's are the the reason of all our political misfortune in Nigeria

the day Igbo's apologize to all Nigerians for the mistake of the past and settle down to plan with Nigerians, especially of the southern and middle belt region, Nigeria will seize to exist
Have you apologized to Igbos for killing them in them from 1966-1970??
