Update from A male teacher of Itori Comprehensive High School in Ogun State has been beaten up black-and-blue for hindering a male student from assaulting a female student, Siggy discloses. This occurred after the teacher asked the student to stop beating a fellow female student. The unnamed student who happened to be in SSS 3 entered the class while the said teacher was teaching and began to beat the girl who was in the class. According to an eyewitness, the teacher had told the boy to stop assaulting the girl, but instead of heeding to the teacher, he turned to the teacher and beat him up too. The government should take up the case to ensure that the rogue student pays dearly enough that all other violent wannabes like him are completely discouraged from such foolish acts in a sane society. That teacher should be commended, and even rewarded by the government to encourage others to speak up and take action when they notice an assault in broad daylight. A similar incident happened in the US, and nobody came to the rescue of the lady. She was raped in the presence of other passengers.
