I find the brand of Islam being practised in Senegal quite refreshing.

Rather than the little joysticks that inhabit Northern Nigeria, these muslims are not afraid to allow women to be human beings, rather than the condescending bullshit of the mallams in Kano and Sokoto

The Biggest sect of the country, the Mourides also emphasise hardwork hand in hand with the natural duties of a muslim.

And those duties do not include doing Allah's work for him.

It all makes me want to become a Muslim actually.
