I would think many of the implementations in Naija are Intergration based (Netweaver) or specifics (ERP,CRM,SCM). Definately, Netweaver would be hot in Naija as many of the multinationals would want to be at par with their divisions elsewhere.

Great contributions for you all , even though i dislike viewing ARTICLES or ebooks that has words like DUMMIES included.

I think it is high time nigerian software developer contribute a greatest part to software(JAVA) and also I WOULD BE NICE IF WE START working on Writing YORUBA/IGBO/HAUSA softwares(games&app.).

No! You cannot learn it in one month. For you to be proficient in it it will take a while and a lot of practice. Obviously, how long it takes will vary from one individual to another, and it will also depend on how deep you want to get with it. But, for you to be able to do it professionally, it definitely will take a lot longer than a month.

There are several threads that take you from the beginning. I'd suggest you follow the appropriate threads, download the JDK, setup your environment, get a few books and start reading and doing the examples. You can even try to modify the examples and see what you can come up with. If you have specific questions, then you can post back here.

I do not think anyone can hold someone's hand and tell them this is how you do it. How successful you are at it will depend on your problem solving skills and how hard you work at it.

i hope ou would consider this a way of helping me build my career. as far as passion is concerned i have the passion. the obvious truth is finances had not been fair to me. anytime you devote to teaching me, would be wisely used and appreciated. i really want to learn java. can you please help out.

The decision of using Eclipse or Netbeans is solely your choice, i still believe that the best way to learn is using any test editor, and compiling and running thru the command line, I've used both Netbeans and eclipse, and eclipse is easier to configure, but they pretty much do the same thing, Eclipse also has more plug-ins available than Netbeans,

Long time, it's good to know u r still passionate about Java. I remember a few years ago 2006/2007 when as a corper serving in Osun, I came to c Mimoh mi @ his Apapa residence, mind you we only met on this forum, in fact via this very thread. This guy housed me, gave me a big picture of java, books lots of e-books and a hard copy, now things are looking up. And when I luk down memory lane I cant help but thank God for the likes of Mimoh , SBUCareer and the likes. Men its gud to have role models. in fact your role models dont have to be movie stars, celebrities , but that Man on the street who gives you the big picture of the vague and lil tot in ur head.
