Some panic stricken Nollywood stars ran to the General Overseer of RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, to help them ward off the spate of deaths that has hit the entertainment industry recently, with the deaths of Chidinma, CD John, Alasari, Ayinde Barrister and most recently, Ashley Nwosu. And others that have oneterminal illness or another, like Sikiratu Sindodo, Ifeanyi Dike etc.

Pastor Adeboye heeded their call and held a special prayer session for them on Sunday June 5 at RCCG headquarters.

Not all deaths are caused by supernatural effects, some of these guys live exaggeratedly, daring odds and believing their celebrity shells can withstand the consequences.
Hope to see all them at an Imam's mosque soon, and probably at a Doctor Who's shrine later .

In my village, I've lost count of the number of people that I've been told by family back home that have died in the last year and I'm sure that is the case up and down the country. Life expectancy in Nigeria is at an all time low of 48 years (source: http://www.unicef.org/infobycountry/nigeria_statistics.html) and yet some people wonder why this is happening. What even makes them think they are any better than many Nigerians that continue to die everyday. In a country where poverty is rife; the environment is polluted with filth and creates a breeding ground for all manner of diseases; medi-care is poor and inadequate; people live a stressful lifestyle; people are indulging in all sorts of unhealthy junk food in preference to local food that in my opinion are more healthy; what do you expect? There's only going to be one outcome sadly, and that is early death.

No amount of prayer will solve our problems if we continue to fail to do what is right rather pastors will continue to feed off our ignorance and desperation.

Wow. So much fear of death. People die. It is one of the consequences of life. God has shown that he really cares more about helping some people find their keys than genocidal acts. What makes these people think God cares about them?
This is the sort of paralyzing fear that gives these pastors more power. I wonder how much they paid in offerings and I wonder if they were encouraged to pay their tithes more regularly just as mafia bosses encourage people to pay their "protection" money.

God says, i must have mercy for whom i must have mercy. if God answers prayers according to righteousness, i don't think any of us is worthy to pray. a tax collector was among the disciples of Jesus Christ. Peter was said to have been on the sea for a whole night until he encountered Jesus.
