What do you do when someone dear to you accuse you wrongly?
Accuse you of stealing.

I believe the answers are

■ Tell the Truth
■ Forgive such a person so that God can forgive you your sins
■ Do nothing to defend yourself when an enemy attacks

The best answer is to abandon christianity and worship the true creator of heaven and Earth, the FLYING SPAGHETTI MONSTER

Thanks.
But I should do nothing to defend myself?
Even when the person knows I didn't do it, just want to tarnish my image in public.
And the person doesn't even feel remorseful.
Hmmm....

Truth is, I am tired of forgiving.
The pain is too much.

A follower of Jesus Christ is not to defend self from attacks of an enemy is what we read in Matthew 5 vs 38 - 42. Remember turn the other cheek when you are slapped in the one? undecided

You tell the truth and your side of the story.
Hope people/the law is sensible enough to go by the tenant of "innocent until proven guilty".
There is no need to forgive them, you can do that when you are ready.

And disconnect them from your life if you can, since they are capable of accusing you of a crime on mere suspicion, without proof. You will never trust such a person, and they probably never trusted you either.

Btw, not a Christian.

That's an ample opportunity to preach the Good News to your accuser and the audience!

It happened to one brother about 23 years ago, i was shocked at the brother's reaction because he used that as an opportunity to preach the Good News.

His response:

"i am human, thieves are humans and it is not written on their foreheads so it's not evil if you suspect anyone (including me) but first try to get all your facts so as not to end up having the blood of the innocent on your head. We are awaiting God's Kingdom when all evidoers will be gone for good"
Then he quoted what is written in the Bible book of Psalms 37:7-11 and asked the accuser "how do you think we can both investigate thoroughly to fine your money or the thief? I will also volunteer to assist"

Everyone began cursing the accuser because they were touched by our brother's reaction, the brother instantly told them:
"we don't have to blame him, he's still in shock of his stolen money so everyone is a suspect except himself (the owner)"

The event turned out to yield a positive result because the accuser (even though couldn't find his money) came back to the brother, begged for forgiveness and asked if he too could become a preacher of the Good News.

WHY?

He said the words made him felt he's the worst sinner ever, he confessed that he himself stole the money!
So the point our brother raised regarding all evildoers struck his heart and he felt if that's what will happen to all evildoers then he too will not live with what he stole! smiley

So watch yourselves. "If your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him.

4If he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times comes back to you and says, `I repent,' forgive him

15 “If your brother or sister sins,[c] go and [b]point out their fault, just between the two of you. If they listen to you, you have won them over. 16 But if they will not listen, take one or two others along, so that ‘every matter may be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.’[d] 17 If they still refuse to listen, tell it to the church; and if they refuse to listen even to the church, treat them as you would a pagan or a tax collector.

The Bible is a guide book so anyone can quote it for others, but when it comes to applying what we are quoting for others in our own case and appreciating those trying to live up to that principle that's when you'll know rebellious humans who are hypocrites! undecided

At least we have seen that your self righteousness, non rebellious and unhypocritical has shown you hardly live up to the principle you talked about.

Evidence of that they scattered all over here. It is on such evidence you build your reputation here.

You don't need to remind us. We know who go about using his seeking for better performing group and still using that same mouth to tell us that there are HYPOCRITES within the same better performing group and most of them and the organization as a whole still suffer devil's influence like every other religious denominations.

It is your same mouth that says your religious organisation is Jehovah’s organization from the times of Abel still comeback and tell us it is man made organization. grin grin grin

Awon hypocrites and apostate detector. E ma ku ojo meta. Se ara le? grin grin grin
