100 Days To UI/UX Learning by invinzible1: 8:20pm On Jan 01, 2022
Hello guys, been thinking wether to do this or not, but it seems I have finally decided to take the bull by the horn to start learning UI/UX with Figma as my prioritized working tool.

100 days learning calendar is just to build a solid foundation because there are more to learn as one progress and it's just about learning but being a top notch design that's highly creative being able to attain this level of creativity would give us an edge locally and internationally.

I have a free course that's concise and well structured for you to study and understand easily.

To start with, I just need 5 people Maximum 10. Who will commence the journey with me, we would search resources together, take on projects and do assignment which would add to our portfolio.
If we have the numbers of people we want latest Tuesday we start the journey.

Guru ke...not even halfway yet more less close. No man is an island of knowledge and for this field, collaboration with like minds and getting feedback is essential in becoming a good designer.

I do more reading than designing. Yes I personally think you can master the UI tools in a short period of time. Researching the user and having a detailed understanding in order to profound solution is where the hard work lies. Recruiters will tell you designing is easy, but will ask how do you come about the colour, typeface etc you used in your final designs or how does the goals align with the user's pain point, do they fully address the user pain points you identified, why did you settle for this particular research method ati bebe lo

My mentor that has made millions as a self-taught recently enrolled for the google course. I asked him why he said there's still much he needs to learn. There are tons of articles and each time I go through any, I'm always picking some thing new that wasn't in the last one I read. Read extensively about UX, even after 10years of experience you won't stop reading. Reading will help sharpen your thought process towards design.

Build your skills with respect to international standard. Things for naija just get as e bi, a time will come you will want decide the area you wanna focus on(UX, UI or both). I kñow someone that has portfolios for the 3. Some employers will most times want someone who can do both + front end lol. Though a little bit of front end knowledge will ease communication with your developer in terms of technical feasibility.

I was going through a programming thread, I think the guy is a front end developer and he said there are no good designers in Nigeria yet. He said this in response to someone saying UX/UI is saturated. And the front end bro is right, compared to what I have seen out there. In 2-3 months, you will be quick to jump to the conclusion that you've known everything but it's a BIG FAT LIE. We naija designers still need to put in alot of work in order to rewrite the narrative "there are no good designers in Nigeria yet".

Unlike Programming, I won't say the path to becoming a good designer is hard but the path to learning is intense.
