We shall reclaim all our Igbo lands that were cunningly carved into Kogi, Benue, Delta and Rivers states. It’s only a matter of time.

The cow herding dullard doesn’t know what he is talking about.

No Igbo land was carved anywhere.

Stop this delusional behaviour.

The present Delta State has never had anything to do with "Igbo land". We were not part of Biafra. Present Delta state was originally under the Western Region and later the Midwestern region.

The River Niger is a natural barrier both in behaviour and mentality.

The biggest mistake the "Aniomas" can make is to get a state and allow themselves to be lumped into the wasteland that's the "yeast".

Benue, Ebonyi ,Enugu and indeed all States were created by the FG as units of Administration, they are NOT necessarily defined as Tribal lands.
You can call for boundary adjustment but it will be difficult to annex lands in the ways you are talking about.

Please show me a valid source were GMB promise to restructure Nigeria?

He made that promise to Pa Ayo Adebanjo ; when he was seeking the Yoruba's support prior to election.

Pa Ayo Adebanjo, recently stepped in as new leader of Yoruba socio-cultural group, Afenifere

"We cannot change our strategy until the country is restructured to true federalism; that stand is clear."

-"The National Assembly is a product of this fraudulent 1999 Constitution and that’s our own stand. Is the National Assembly not a product of this Constitution? Is that not the Constitution we all are saying is fraudulent? How can a fraudulent product produce a purified product? It is illogical. If they pretend not to understand what restructuring means, then they should take us back to the Independence Constitution. And I always challenge them to tell us if the 1999 Constitution is made by the people? Our case is this, it is not our Constitution, it is a military Constitution imposed on Nigerians.

The National Assembly, as it is currently composed cannot give us restructuring, I have said it openly many times. On the question of restructuring, I have challenged the Spokesman to the President, Mr. Femi Adesina that when Buhari promised restructuring in 2007, Afenifere campaigned for him. When Buhari contested along with Pastor Tunde Bakare, who was his running mate in the 2011 Presidential election, he (Buhari) promised restructuring and to confirm that go and listen to the latest sermon of Pastor Bakare, where he challenged President Buhari openly, saying, ‘I told you before and we had agreed on it before. I told you that restructuring you should do but you didn’t do it.’

RESTRUCTURING IS NOT ZONING. RESTRUCTURING IS SHEDDING THE HEAVY EXCLUSIVE AUTHORITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE PRESIDING FEDERAL PRIME GOVERNMENT TO THE 36 CONSTITUTIONAL STATE GOVERNMENTS.

RESTRUCTURING IS DEVISING A GOOD SYSTEM THAT WILL ALLOW THE FULL PARTICIPATION OF THE GRASSROOTS IN THE ADMINISTRATION AND GOVERNANCE OF THE NATION.

This old man with his dumb speeches sha!

Bayelsa has just 8 LGAs and was made a State. Imo has 21 LGAs albeit, not the biggest state per land mass in the South East.

So, where would the land come from?!
Where did the land come from to create a Bayelsa state?

This is what happens when a soldier thinks they understand map reading than geographers!

I guess those SE representatives who came to you saw your dumbness and unwillingness to see reason, hence they just ignored you!

Buhari’s promises of restructuring gained him votes in 2015
Published on June 21, 2021
By Ochogwu Sunday

One of the key manifestos of the All Progressives Congress, APC during the 2015 presidential election campaign was to restructure the country for absolute transformation,
DAILY POST

Following President Muhammadu Buhari’s victory at the poll, expectations were lofty as Nigerians patiently waited for the new political system promised at the campaign ground only to see gestures depicting otherwise.

In a bid to quell the quest, the Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr. Chris Ngige on September 6 2016, assured Nigerians that the president was still making efforts to deliver on his campaign promises particularly the restructuring of Nigeria.

Speaking with journalists in Awka, Anambra State, the Minister said the Buhari- led administration had already commenced the restructuring process starting with the nation’s economy.

He said, “Nigerians have changed their way of doing things for the better and have become more prudent and judicious in their spending pattern.

“It’s one after the other. After economic restructuring to reposition the economy of this country, the Buhari administration will embark on the political restructuring and will set the modalities for the exercise.”

However, the president who has kept mum on the restructuring for years recently broke his silence and declared his stance against calls for the new political system.

The president on June 19 vowed that his administration will not restructure the country, stressing that those agitating for separation and canvassing for restructuring are naive and ignorant of war.

According to him, “The other issue is that those who are currently calling for restructuring and conference on what they call ethnic nationality, If you go to Southern Kaduna, Taraba, who is to represent them? We have a different combination of ethnicity in many parts of the country. Even Kano and Kaduna Igbo have properties. The same goes for Yorubas.

“There are Fulani in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. So those calling for whether separation or restructuring, some of them I will say they are very naive or even mischievously dangerous. Those agitating for restructuring are ignorant of war and its consequences. Because Nigeria is a dominant force in west Africa”.

The president’s declaration has continued to trigger reactions from concerned Nigerians as many took to their social media handle to lambast the president.

A former presidential aide, Reno Omokri described Buhari’s promise as an election scam stating that it was the promise that gave him the victory in 2015.

“If a Nigerian youth makes a false promise of marriage to a woman and obtains money from her, the EFCC will arrest him for ‘romance scam’.

“Yet, Buhari made false promises to restructure Nigeria and obtained votes from Nigerians based on that. Is that not an‘ election scam’? The biggest issue General Buhari campaigned on in 2015 was restructuring. Now, he says he will NEVER restructure Nigeria.

“Is that not a scam? That is deceit. That is obtaining votes by false pretences. That is why the Southwest and Southeast are agitating for secession.

“May Buhari not drive Nigeria to war! Twitter deleted his tweet and he banned them. What about all the promises he made that he has now deleted? Should we ban Buhari too”.

A respondent, Promise Emeka who spoke to DAILY POST in Abuja, said the president used restructuring to market himself during the election.

“They knew very well that the Southeast and South-South belong to the People’s Democratic Party, PDP so they used restructuring to deceive our leaders to win the election.

“Seven years after the election, we are yet to get the promise. The Southern Leaders need to wise up. Northerners have a different agenda for this country than what we can see. They are afraid of standing alone and that is why the country would remain the way it is.

“The only thing they know is dragging us back and that is why we are agitating for our own sovereign nation, Biafra. No mallam will come to Biafra after our freedom to tell us how to run our government”, he stated.

Similarly, an On-Air Personality, Mr Alfred Ademola expressed shock that Buhari ‘Mr Integrity’ would lie to millions of Nigerian.

“Honestly we thought this man was a Messiah, someone who has all qualities of a good leader not knowing that we were heading for doom.

“First it was the promise of paying youths five thousand Naira for being jobless, which even the one who used to be a pastor denied openly. ‘Kai! This country na joke’.

I don’t even think about this administration anymore, I have learnt to live with the reality since I cannot change the situation. May God give us life so we can try again in 2023 but are we going to have a candidate from a foreign country? Is it not these deceivers that will present candidates to us? It is well with Nigeria.

That's not true, the major region pushing for additional state creation is SE region, they were in charge of GEJ government so they were pushing it. The restructuring the West and SS region was hammering on was resources control and security control. David Umahi demonstrated the average mind of Igbos leaders during this VAT saga.

You can lie for Africa.

During the Obasanjo administration's National Political Reforms Conference, the SW joined the north in objecting to the demand from the SS and the SE regions for a large increament to the percentage paid on derivation from Mineral resources. It was like a demand for a quasi resource Control from the SE and the SS. The Conference abruptly ended because of the demand from the SS and the SE.

Resource Control did not feature much during the 2014 CONFAB of Jonathan administration. Creation of new states to obtain a fairer distribution of states, shared federal allocations and balance of political power between the north and the south regions featured prominently rather during the 2014 CONFAB. Creation of new states was seen as a means to placate the zones so that resource Control agitation would be reduced.

If restructuring happens they'll create additional states in the region from their pockets how is that criminal?
Will Nigeria restructure only for the SE to get additional state and still be receiving allocation? From who? your argument isn't even sound, Restructuring and state creation can't be used interchangeably.
With restructuring no more allocation from Abuja, everyone knows that..

Dave Umahi Opposed VAT because of his northern political interests, same way Tinubu opposed Grazing ban( where are the cows)...

All I know is the South east are more open to restructuring ( devolution of powers and resources control)...
Yes, politics is interest-based. However, I believe Umahi must have opposed VAT administration reforms, which is one if the implications of the fiscal federalism being championed by the SW, due to the potential economic vulnerability effects such reforms would.have on Ebonyi. C'mon face it, I don't have the facts, but I suspect that Ebonyi is among those states that collect much more VAT than they generate. It's no surprise considering the bleak commerce and poverty in the state.

Is empty landmass the yardstick for state creations? Do you create states for human beings or for cows? Who even gave some military officers the right to create states over us? Anambra and Imo States are densely populated compared to all those empty Sahara desert states up north. So why create more states in the North while starving the east of same? When it suit you the yardstick will be land mass. Another time, if it suits you, the yardstick will be population! Is it not about time you are given your own country, so you can give every family a Local Government and make every community a state in the north?

You haven't shown me where GMB promise to restructure Nigeria after he became the presidential candidate of the APC

1) APC had political restructuring in its agenda by 2015. Buhari profited from that agenda during his contest for the office of the president in 2015.

2) If Buhari did not like political restructuring then, he should have objected to the APC alliance before the election.

3) Someone like Bola Tinubu would not have joined in alliance for APC if APC did not have political restructuring in its agenda. Before then, Tinubu had campaigned for years for political restructuring of Nigeria.

4) FYI, Buhari personally promised political restructuring during his previous campaigns for the presidential seat before the APC alliance.

Buhari knows how to deal with ibos sha. He doesn't shout when they shout but anytime he drops an album on them, it's always a banger.

“I have a problem with people from South-East; they said they wanted another state, as each of the geopolitical zones has six states.

“I said go and look at the map and see how many of the existing states will contribute to other states.
“That was the last I heard from them” on the matter, the President said.

Na young John produce the beat this time grin cheesy

You have said it all.

APC was against restructuring, they made that very clear. It was the pdp gang of criminals that was using restructuring as a campaign tool.
Pls show exactly where Buhari promised restructuring.

There is no part of Delta state that was ever part of the South East.

There is igala land in Anambra state.

See this one poking his nose into matters that should be of no concern to him.

Why do you people fight like this? Igalas are virtually igbos. Every conversation shouldn't degenerate into online war.

In case Buhari does not know the meaning of restructuring, it means it should give the 36 States and FCT, power to operate independently. Generate, consume revenue and pay tax to the FG.

Osinbajo for President. I'm sure this man won't do 2 years in office before restructuring Nigeria.
