I made a statement in my previous writing that positions of rulership are not meant for old people. It is not me saying this, it is life saying it, it is nature saying it. I will come back with more details on this statement.

The below statement from the President is one of the reasons why having someone like me as the President will be the greatest electoral decision ever taken in this country. I am strong and energetic.

In my opinion, working 6 to 8 hours only for 8 good years is too little a time, to achieve the kind of change we need in this country. It is simply inadequate.

I hope Nigerians get wiser this time and choose me as the next President.

Okay, I had planned to organize a Q & A session sometime this month, where I will take all questions. It will still hold anyways.

I am taking an exception to attend to these questions, but I will be brief as possible. I also trust you are Fidelity.

1. What's Nigeria revenue per month right now?:

Based on the information available to the public as at now, as revealed by Minister of Finance, Budget & National Planning, Mrs Zainab Shamsuna Ahmed, below is Nigeria's revenue for 2021 for period under review;

Oil revenue of N754.16 billion was generated between January and August 2021, while 78.2 billion was collected as share of dividend from Nigeria LNG Limited (NLNG). Also, N2.44 billion was earned as minerals and mining revenue in the review period.

VAT and company income tax collections stood at N235.77 billion and N547.54 billion respectively. Customs revenue was N338.66 billion, slightly below prorated target of N338.85 billion. Also, federation account levies received during the period was N26.38 billion, while FGN independent revenue stood at N1.95 trillion.

In 8 months, FG generated N3.9 trillion revenue, 27% lower than targeted revenue.

2. Debt service and wage bill: Between January and May 2021, Nigeria #1.8 trillion. This figure represents 98% her revenue within same period.
A total of N4.86 trillion was spent by the federal government between January and May 2021, from which N206.89 billion was spent as statutory transfers.

Recurrent expenditure in the review period, stood at N3.67 trillion, while debt service was N1.8 trillion. As of May 2021, N978.13 billion had been released for capital expenditure by the federal government. In terms of revenue, N1.49 trillion was realized from oil and gas, representing a 69% performance compared to the prorated N2.16 trillion.

3. Is what left enough to achieve your plans? Definitely No.

What's your plan to raise funds? First and foremost, there are millions of loopholes where Nigeria's money is being siphoned. Nigeria abundance starts from effectively managing what we have at the moment. If we do not block these loop holes and manage our resources effectively, there will never be an end to Nigeria borrowing money no matter how much we generate.

Then, after blocking the loopholes, we can now get down to raising money. Money is only a reward for services rendered (be it goods or services). What services do Nigeria render as a nation? We need to increase our service profile to nations (in order to generate FX) by maximizing all we have internally. Whatever resources we have internally should be processed internally, no matter what they are. It will impact tremendously on the economy, and the lives of Nigerians. This will lead to massive training and education of Nigerians,.

Borrowing money from external sources should never be to pay ourselves or fund government recurrent expenditures. It should be to for investments into maximizing the potentials of the resources.

Summarily on this, Nigeria is in a crisis, and to effectively get out of it, we need to tone down on expenditures, block loop holes for wasting and looting money and make do with what we have. This is a sacrifice we have to take in order to put us on the path of prosperous nations. If we do the above, it will only take a while and we will begin to have enough money to execute our projects without borrowing.

4. What's your plans for security: Nigeria's security has been greatly compromised. And the architecture of the security has not been in the nation's best interest. Security has no business with sentiments or tribal affiliations. It is not really about money, it is about having the right people at such sensitive posts. No matter how much you spend on security, if the architecture is faulty, it will never yield result.

Take Afghanistan as an example, America spent trillions of dollars to secure that nation but at the end, what happened? The country was overran by the taliban in less than 2 weeks. Why did this happen?

Because there were serious moles in government while the US was there. If something is not done fast about Nigeria, we will have more security issues on our hands in the coming days.

Without compromise in security, uprisings are squashed faster.

5. What's your infrastructure goals ...what's your budget financing plan and where funds would come from?

Infrastructure is very critical in a nation. In government, there are priorities when it comes to infrastructure. My government will focus, and encourage governors and local government to focus on infrastructures that generate money in the localities on a daily. For instance, a governor has no business building a town hall or civic center when a road to major market or site is bad. It's a misplacement of priorities, and this is very common with those who keep governing this nation.

If government wants to meet the people, he can pay for a 2 hour session in a hotel, and using the billions that he would have used to build a hall to build a government hospital.

When you have infrastructure that generate money daily, the government can re-invest the money into other categories of infrastructure that gives little comfort.

On the budget financing aspect of it, government can liaise with a private company to execute it. Private firms are looking for where to invest their money. If the government presents them moth watering deals, I bet you they'll jump at it. In fact, they'll be the ones to borrow money to execute it, not the government.

For instance, you see these railways that the government is borrowing up and down to build, throw open the bid to private firms, present mouth watering but people friendly offers, they'll jump at it, execute it and make their money.

A lot of accountability will also be encouraged in all of this.

These are just briefs, the indepth will show every step of it to execution.

I hope I met your expectations, oya fulfill your promise. smiley

Thank you.
