A Lawmaker representing Bonny constituency in the Rivers State House of Assembly, Abinye Blessing Pepple has handed over a newly built secretariat to the National Union of Bonny Students (NUBS). The one storey building which might be the first of its kind owned by an ethnic group’s student’s Union in Nigeria was the 2021 constituency project nominated by the lawmaker representing Bonny and approved by Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State. The building was named after Dienye Allison and Macdonald ibifubara Banigo, two Bonny students who were tragically killed by sea pirates while travelling from Port Harcourt to Bonny island last year.
