Some of us here are undergrads. Personally, I'm in my final year in the university and as such, I'ld love to know, in your job search, did your grades ever matter?

I'm on some job boards and you find a lot of JDs here and there. Finance Intern, Hr Intern, Sales Agent etc. Sometimes, they tell you straight up they want 2.1 grads, and, very rarely, first class grads, but these ain't that much.

Frankly, my question is for the jobs that request for folks with First Degrees in any discipline without explicitly outlining a class of degree to be considered, does it ever actually matter later?

Say, the job requested for a Finance Intern with a BSc in Accounting without requesting for a 2.1 in their job requirements, does it ever get considered in later interview stages?

Kindly, let us know if grades are useless as it's a bit too much getting mocked for studying by one's classmates.
