Yawns. Just random thoughts

Thump—thump—I could hear heavy footsteps and loud snorts; our unwelcome visitor, one I couldn't see. I was getting dizzy from the blood loss, and weary from not having eaten for days, but I tried not to give up, at least not yet.
Struggling to keep swollen, weak eyes open, I made out a faint image walking towards where I laid; one that wasn't my sister's.
Gasping with little strength, I gave in to the voice that kept telling me to surrender.
If this was a dream, I knew not. All I wanted was to be wide awake again and be free from this horrible nightmare.
"Where is she?" A husky voice got my hair shaft fully erect.

Her cries echo aloud in the still of the night;
A cry of pain;
A cry that’d never cease to flow as long as her heart is wounded,
and bitterness is made to linger.
She is agonized,
Broken beyond repair;
Left to bear the pain bred by the wicked…
…and made bare, never the same.

Tears of the innocence

A woman ran in with a sleeping child. The child was feeling unwell and almost without breath. Her mother's cries filled the room as she pleaded for her child to be saved. "Please... please, Reverend Father, save my child. Save my baby—" Her baby was slowly leaving. The priest looked at her, and down at the child, as he carried her, saying a few words of prayer.
The child gave a sharp cry—and next a woman appeared, unclad, claiming the child. “She's mine!” yelled the unclean spirit.
“She isn't yours!" the priest forbade the child to be hers, and planted a kiss on her tender cheek.
"No!" the demoness cried. “No!”
The priest rebuked her. “You do not belong here, daughter of the seven seas—" the demoness was no more.
The child was free, and the priest handed her to her mother. “She is free—”

Bored and having cravings. Tongue out tongue

It started on a rainy day when a frightening masked fella appeared on the street.

"Ronnie!" My mother's voice rang, jolting me. I stopped staring and ran inside—up the stairs—I went into my bedroom.

"Whoo! That was close." I shuddered and heaved a sigh. Slumping on my bed, I closed my eyes for a minute, trying not to remember the man; the image of him came right in my mind at that moment, laying imprinted, as I tried not to yell.

"You think you can get away from me?" I jerked up at the voice.

I saw no one, my room cold and without light—I shivered and prayed silently in my mind, as someone tapped me and I heard a voice. "Hello?"

I gasped. My legs were shaking as from my head, down shook and trembled like never before. Calm down, Veronica. It's just your mind playing tricks—it wasn't!

Another tap came on me, and I swerved, wanting to know who it was. Finding no one, I raced to the door and tried to get it open. Every pull seemed not to work.

"Humhumhum!" A soft chuckle came. "You didn't think you could run away from me...?"

I let out a loud yell. A sharp pointy edge glistened in the dark, as I made a run for, but got caught up instead—

**Oh, well, ignore mistakes. Ain't editing wink

I saw a man seated outside our gate, with a big chaplet hung around his neck. “Do you know God?” I drew closer as I heard him ask. “God?” he nodded his head and looked at me. “Yes. God.”

Of course, I knew him, I thought. I was a Christian—a staunch believer. The times my parents went to church I followed them and missed not a day. Something must have made him ask... I shuddered at the thought and winced a bit, making to ask—why?

“You need to know God.” His voice made me shudder even more. “Know God—" I saw him no more.

How bad can insomnia be?

^^
You can wish for a car or whatsoever and have yourself getting it if you’re pretty loaded with money. The situation was different for me. From a family having no silver spoon, I was raised and made to live while the rest of the world moved on. We were made jest of and ridiculed whenever we came out; the clothes we wore torn and rusty; the shoes wrapping our feet eaten and filled with holes, with the hot sand burning our soles as we walked. I was hating this life, to be frank, and wished we could have better and be rich.

Why don't wishes come true?

Wrote this on Valentine's day but didn't get to showcase it, because of some f--ked a** story lipsrsealed Dang shocked

~Goodbye, Anonymous ___✍

I woke up to the sound of a whistling kettle as I shut my ears and groaned really loud. “Aargh!” There was no kettle. Must have been dreaming, I realized.

I winced and groaned a second time, remembering Sean. My boyfriend was out in the woods— with his Dad, on Valentine's day—camping, while I aged inside, feeling miserable. Oh, Sean. How cruel can you be! I scoffed.

I remembered his exact words the day he had called, telling me his dad wanted to go on a father-son bonding trip. “Babe, I can’t resist. You know how Dad is,” I shrugged and got my legs down.

Valentine’s day was mostly every couple’s special. It was a day not just for them but for all others who wanted to prove their love to their families and friends. I, for one, wanted to spend that day with Sean, but unfortunately, he was out camping.

Aish! I found it hard to contain my anger. My bed was just the healing spot, where I was going to be all day, sulking and going on with my miserable self. . . UNTIL—

Oh, well, will publish it kiss

Tried writing a comedy story tongue

Ended up going wrong embarassed

A hungry man is an angry man, I confirmed—told Tola to eat but she refused, preferring reaching the orientation ground on time. “Tola, what is it na? Eat something before you faint,” Tola preferred not stuffing her tum to being late.

On reaching the ground, we sat down with the hundreds of students gathered there and waited for the guest speakers to arrive. While pressing my phone, I groaned at the rumbling of my stomach, yearning for something to eat. I could sense Tola was hungry, too, but she acted not like it. Getting up, I grouched and made for the snacks stand not far—could see the woman selling things to a couple of students.

“A bottle of Fanta, ma’am,” I requested, and asked for a bread roll to be brought.

“Here it is,”

I took them both and paid her off.

I made back to where Tola was, and sat, ignoring her.

“Where is mine?”

I said not a word.

“Ugh! You’re annoying,”

I concurred at least. Tola got up with a grouch and walked to where the snacks woman was.

“No, she should have stayed,” I laughed partly, and shrugged.

It hadn’t been a while that she left, that a girl appeared and sat on her chair.

“Hey. Someone’s here,

The girl ignored me and brought out her phone.

“Hey!” She ignored me still. Tola came, clasping a bottle; I could see the anger in her eyes.

“Tola—” she did the last thing I didn't expect.

Guess what? grin

There was this girl who always came by our house to play but never told me her name. She was fair and pretty tall, had gray eyes and blonde hair.
“What’s your name?”
“Mother never gave me one,”
“Can I call you…”
“Shush!” she had her pointy across my lips.
“Why?”
“Trust me. You need not know—”
I was surprised.
“You can’t change what the universe’s made,” she continued.
I never saw her after that day, making me wonder if she was really human.

“Darlington. Oh, Darlington. Make love to me. . . Will you?”
Darlington was a girl with the perfect figure. Her hourglass shape that could quench a man’s thirst, and her hot chocolate skin—one I craved.
“Oh, Darlington. Sweet, sweet Darling… let me have you.”
I could cringe at the thought of being Lez, but here I was craving to be touched.
“Darlington…?”
“What’s your problem?” Darlington yelled. “Aren’t you going to let me sleep?”
I let her be out of fear—was left with no choice but to play with myself. After all, it was a playdate.

If loving you was a crime, I’d go to the very place you never want me to be,”
“Oh, Mary Lou,” said Martha. “I shudder to think how I’d survive if anything happened to you,”
Mary Lou blushed. She and Martha were a couple, and they loved each other dear. They promised to be by each other’s side—
“Oh, how shall I live, if you, Martha, isn’t here?”

PLEASE... FICTION! Not going to post the real stories here. Nah-nah smiley

Ever heard of a family of superheroes? Yes! Guess you’ve heard of them.
We weren’t really superheroes. We were hunters! Vampire HUNTERS!
My brother and I were the town’s best vampire hunters. Mystic Falls, now a dead zone, didn’t need no one other than us, cause you know, we’re THE GILBERTS!

“Hey, Jer,”
“Elena.”
“Good morning, my special hunt!”
Psst. Hunt—hunter!
“Did Mom tell you to check on me?”
“Not really,”
Whispers >>>He was the one with the attitude.
“Well, great.”
“Isn’t Bonnie coming?”
Bonnie was his girlfriend. Jeremy’s dated a hundred girls in Mystic Falls. Bonnie should make it a hundred and one. Not exaggerating!
My brother was a flirt. He took that from our father. No wonder Mom’s always wanting me to keep an eye on him. Hmm.
“Hey, Gilberts!”
Meet Dad. “Hey.”
“Watcha doing?”
The hunting bell rang. Thank God!
“Gotta go. Bye, Dad. Elena…?”
I was already outside. Dad knew his flirty way was getting on my nerves—not having to talk to me would be just the best.
“Are you okay?” Jeremy asked, once we were in the woods.
“Oh, Jer!” I heaved.
“Please don’t tell me you were thinking about Dad again,”
I shrugged. Dad was the least I cared about right now; killing those meanies and saving the townies was a good way to start the day.
“You know, you got me frightened one day…”
“Can we concentrate on…”
“Shush!” Jeremy shushed.
“What’s that?”
Quick movements came.
“Crossbow on the go…?”
“Rah!”
“Jeremy!”

Ever heard of a family of superheroes?
Yes! Guess you’ve heard of them.
We weren’t really superheroes…
…we were hunters!
VAAAMPIRE!HUNTERS!!
My brother and I were the best hunters Mystic Falls had ever known. They could do without us, but you know, they’d be ridden by vamps.
“Hey, Jer,”
“Hi, Elena.”
“Good morning, my special Hunt!”
Psst. Hunt—hunter!
“Did Mom tell you to check on me?”
“Not really,” I lied. She certainly did.
“Don’t lie, Elena. I can tell that you are.” Jeremy figured. He was the oldest but did things that made Mom leave me in charge. He was just like Dad. Lackadaisical, the both of them. The house could certainly do with more ‘Elenas’.
“Hey, Gilberts!”
“Hey.”
“Whatcha doing?”
I certainly hated Dad’s slang. He knew I did; could make out with the way I moved my eyes. “What?”
“Dad…”
The ‘Hunting’ bell rang—
Jeremy called to me and I quickly dashed out the door.
“Elena…?”
I hadn’t given Dad a chance to talk.

“Why don’t you always give Dad a chance to talk?” Jeremy asked once we were outside.
“Oh, please don’t start,”
Jeremy knew how grouchy I could be.
I was a delinquent—could bark at anyone, and have my way—if need be!
“You really think I haven’t been giving Dad a chance?” I stopped.
Jeremy looked at me and nodded slowly; could make out the sadness in his eyes. Maybe he’s right—
Swoosh! My ears popped up.
“What’s that?”
Another sound came. “Someone’s coming,”

The steps hastened as Jeremy drew closer. “A vampire?” One pounced on him and I yelled. “Jeremy!” I raised my crossbow to a length and fired two arrows—as he groaned. “Ah!” I fired another one; this time into his chest the moment he turned.
The man dropped dead, and I dropped my crossbow at the sight of the blood. “Jeremy!” Jeremy was bleeding; his neck glistened as hot pants escaped his lips.
“Jer. J-Jer, please stay with me,” I pleaded for him to stay.
A man appeared, dressed in a brown cloak. He was clasping a staff; fully bearded, and barefooted.
“Who are you?” I asked.
“I am Stevan!”
“Stefan?” He walked towards us and crouched. The white-bearded man smiled, and laid his hand on my brother’s neck, as I watched the bitemark magically heal.
“But you can call me Stee,” the bearded man disappeared.
Jeremy surprisingly got up and looked at me with eyes widened. “I think I know who that was,”

“Your great Gran Stee was a healer,” Dad explained when we were done narrating to him. “a powerful one, and a witch as at that.”
Archaic way of calling a man who practised witchcraft.
I really wanted to know why the healer’s gift was never passed…
“How did we end up as hunters?”
Dad got up from his favourite chair. “That is all I can tell you, Lena.”

I looked at Jeremy and sat on Dad’s chair. “Maybe one of these books can tell us about Gran,”
“You mean Great Gran Stee,” Jeremy corrected.
“Right!”
We got searching, and one with the name ‘THE GILBERTS’ caught our eyes. It was certainly going to have intriguing facts; I, for one, looked forward to reading it...
“Elena!”
“Sheriff Forbes?”
Jeremy quickly opened the door.
“Jeremy. Elena. You have to see this.”
Jeremy and I raced out the door as Sheriff F led the way.
“Another attack?”
Care was standing beside the body. “So it seems—”

“So you mean to tell me that an animal did this?’ I asked, not believing.
We examined the body; the bitemarks, the likes of an animal. The body was still fresh. It certainly would have happened that morning. “You think a Vamp did it?”
“A werewolf!” Jeremy coughed.
Werewolf?” I asked, doubting. “ Werewolves don’t walk during the day…”
“Certainly can’t be one…”
“A hybrid!”
We looked at Care. “Huh?”
“Hybrids are the only ones who change whenever they want,”
It was starting to make sense.
“Niklaus and his minions must have killed this local,” Caroline opined. “He must have found a way to break the curse…”
“But how?”

There was a man named Demon who lived on the Isle of Marasiwa. Legend has it that Demon was born human, but was a god and could return anytime to the clouds. He lived for a hundred years, on the Isle, alone, not until a shipwreck moved people on the shore.
“Who are you people?” Demon asked.
“We won’t hurt you!"
“Why should I trust that you won't?”
They were half as scared as him. Not anyone would see a half-naked man and still stand—
“Seriously, trust us,”
Demon was calm.
The people asked for his name, and he replied, “I AM DEMON!”

I frowned.

“But how?”

“Dad’s other woman…”
“…Katherine!” Caroline completed.

Caroline was a folklore geek. How she knew about this was no surprise. She could have been digging her head into one of those library books. Possible.
“Um, who are you?” Sheriff Forbes had her gun pointed at the teenage girl.
“I’m her father’s daughter,” the girl replied.
“That’s impossible!” Caroline yelled. “The book never mentioned about Klaus having a daughter,” she said.
“Well, that’s because he adopted me. From my Uncle Marcel?” she waved her brown hair. She had perfect arched brows and a chiseled nose; her lips extra glossy and fitted on her face.
“I’m Hope,”
“Wait. Hope Andrea? “Caroline vividly remembered. Or so it seemed—
“Okay, nevermind,” she said again. “It can’t possibly be…”
“Yeah, Andrea!”
Caroline’s jaw dropped.
Her name rang a bell, no doubt. Caroline’s coz would always come home and complain about some bossy classmate.
“So you’re Winnie’s Andrea?, Caroline asked, agape.
“Yes… and no. Who’s Winnie?”
Winnie was Caroline’s cousin… like I said. She was yay high, a little bit reaching my shoulders, part blonde—and had green eyes. What was Klaus’ daughter doing in Mystic Falls?

........

“I came to visit my uncle’s tomb. My Uncle Henrik.” Hope said.
We listened as we drove in the Sheriff’s car, intrigued by the way she drove comfortably with us.
Guess a Mikaelson is a Mikalelson, after all…
Her voice interrupted my thoughts. “Well, I must warn you guys,”
I looked up.
“My father’s minions are coming in tens…”
“And you’re telling us… why?” Jeremy asked.
“Cause you need to protect your people. I am nothing like my father,” she said. “He’s brutal… and cruel!” her eyes shone.
I clasped Jeremy’s hand as fear gripped me. Not wanting to think of battling hybrids, was just what I wanted—
The book ‘The Gilberts’ caught my mind, and I heaved, feeling a certain comfort.

Jeremy and I brought the book out once we got home, and Hope and Caroline helped with the search, as we dug deep.
“The white oak—” Caroline brought to our notice. “Legend has it that the Mikaelson brothers burnt every stick.” she went further to say; her voice gruff.
“Now our chance is lost!” cried Hope.
“I still don’t get it,” Jeremy said. “How is it that the daughter of a hybrid would want no one other than the Gilberts to help?”
Caroline sighed. “Are we still going to go about this or set out to do what every brave man would?”
I agreed with Caroline. I dug deeper in search of another weapon…
“Every magic has a loophole!” I read happily and shone my eyes.
“A loophole?” the three gathered around me.
“The blood of the beloved, spattered on a stake!” I said out loud, as they gasped.
“No way!”
“Well, that’s great,” I said. “Where are we going to get the blood of Klaus’ beloved?”

“You mean ‘how’,” Caroline corrected.
I didn’t want to give up just yet; I wasn’t going to give up!
“Every magic has a loophole, right?” Just then an idea struck my mind.
“I think we know what to do,” Hope’s voice collided with mine.
“Do you know something?”
“I know a witch who can help us. He loathes my father more than I do.”
I asked all ears. “What’s his name?”
She replied, “Vincent?”
We drove straight to his house—had borrowed Dad’s car and driven to New Orleans. There we met Vincent—a sturdy man, black and tall.
“To what do I owe this visit, Hope Mikaelson?” a loud voice greeted us.
“How’s our lovely Eva?”
I communicated with my eyes. “Eva?”
She answered quietly. “His wife,”
I curved my lips into an ‘O’ and sat down.
Asking the gang to sit, not like it was mine to do, I motioned to Hope to tell Vincent why we were there, as Caroline got up and walked to the lighted candles, and Vincent scolded. "Don’t touch!”
She shifted.
We didn’t know why he didn’t want her touching it; all we knew was that we were on a mission.
“So you want me to kill Klaus...?”
“But first resurrect his ex,” Hope grinned.
We were going to bring the dopple ganger back with the help of Vincent. It was the one way of killing Klaus...
“Brilliant!” Vincent cried.
“What is?”
“Killing Klaus, of course!”
I was glad he bought the idea.
The D-day came and we gathered on a field; Vincent had all the items for the ritual assembled. We were!
