Those schools were better managed during the military era than the corrupt democratic era.

that is a fat lie, military are the architect of destruction of our secondary school with refusal to pay teachers salaries that leads to strike up strike

Lol, this is not a win win for any religion but a lose to many average citizens. Once the school is fully returned to the owners, government stopped funding thee schools with taxpayers money and the school take full responsibilities of the day to day activities of the school. To balance up and meet standard, school fee will be legislated and skyrocketed above the means of many students' parent. The affected parents (mostly Christians cos of their population) will be looking for another government school (which is probably missionary built) to enrol her child.

A question to a reasonable Nigerian not religious sentimental people, who lost??

The same happened in Ogun state and saw schools with population of thousands reduced to below 500.
Anambra state have returned all the missionaries schools to original owners and are still funding the schools

In as much as government would not use the public fund to fund the school. Let the administrators of each school generate their fund and set their rules. Then, Muslim wards would know they are attending private school who has their specific rules.
Government will use public funds to fund the school if it pain you muslims go and build your own and ask government to fund it as well. I don't know why muslims are troublesome

I am not saying they won't be able to fund the school, after all church are rich, all thanks to tithing. My point is , average citizen suffers such handover. Are u aware that many if these public schools, most of the students parents are struggling to pay the little money the school request from them? That's how poor we are in this country.

It's a no brainer, they should build their own schools with the money Saudi Arabia sends for building mosques.. cool

It's better to train just one person with quality education than 1000 with government rubbish low quality funded education.

I support this point, the same reason I support all these free federal government universities either privatized or remove the free education. We aren't receiving just low quality education in many government universities, we are receiving outdated education. Chemistry students who goes into lab just once or twice before graduating, imagine. I so much support your point but it is not a popular nd welcoming opinion to the masses.

But that's the thing, no secondary school world wide needs a population of thousands does that even make sense to you ?

Chase quality not quantity. The day you learn the meaning of this phrase you will understand alot sir

Nice point though. I understood it perfectly. I have always argue in this line when it comes to higher institutions, but it doesn't go well with many people.

Then govt should live up to its responsibility of building more schools and raising the standard so good that people will have no reason to pay so much for top notch education in private schools....everything is still on govt

If you expect them to do this, where will the money to embezzle come from? Are you saying Nigerian politician who fought do or die to be elected not to gather for his pocket first?

You sure know ACA guys a lot .......that Akintunde guy is a genius and Temitope Akinbosoye got a scholarship to study in a school in Japan.

I didn't go to that popular lesson (vital) back then as I was in the hostel though some of my friends went their. Ajisegiri was the senior prefect in 1999. We were all in the school hostel.

I am guessing you went to Saint mathais or Oyemekun. Those are the schools that i know have friends in ACA a lot.
