How not to read the Bible

1. As a bookworm (looking for nuggets, intellectualism).
2. With a preconceived notion.
3. With a bad heart (heart of unbelief; wrong attitude; heart of unconfessed sin; looking for scripture to prove you’re right or to justify yourself; wrong motive; wrong spirit). Don’t go to the Bible looking for a sermon, but Him.
4. As a boaster (so I can check out my box, or how many times I have read through my Bible, or how much I know more than you). Don’t read the Bible to appear spiritual or for people to make boast of you.
5. As a battler (don’t read the Bible so you can debate with somebody. That’s pride. You will wind up a nut. Prov. 13:10).
6. As a belittler (people read their Bible so that they can correct someone else. They want to show where everybody else is wrong. They never read the Bible to see what’s wrong with themselves, always trying to fix someone else.

Conclusion:
Read the Bible and study it with a humble and sincere heart. Be open minded with any truth that the Holy Spirit wishes to impact on us when we read it. Read it first so we can correct ourselves not others. Read it to know the Lord Jesus Christ and know how to please and obey Him. Read it because you love and fear Him. Read it for Him and then He will do something to you.

You mean read it with your mind gullible to any of the claims you'll encounter in it.

You are free to correct the words. If you come across any claim you don’t like, just removed it and insert your own claim.

"And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God." - Luke 4:4

"All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works." - 2 Timothy 3:16-17

Read Luke 1-1-4.

They just wrote from hearsays since others are writing!

"... let GOD be true but every man a liar..." - Romans 3:4

"For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost." - 2 Peter 1:21

"Forasmuch as many have taken in hand to set forth in order a declaration of those things which are most surely believed among us, Even as they delivered them unto us, which from the beginning were eyewitnesses, and ministers of the word; It seemed good to me also, having had perfect understanding of all things from the very first, to write unto thee in order, most excellent Theophilus, That thou mightest know the certainty of those things, wherein thou hast been instructed." - Luke 1: 1-4

As you can see from the above, they actually wrote from hearsays, what they believed and as it was handed down to them.

No holy spirit inspiration involved here. This contradicts your previous Timothy verse.

The Bible also contains historical parts which was included as a witness to the truth contained in it. There is the Prophetic part which is 100% inspired by the Holy Spirit.

Even the words spoken by Satan was also included.

The letters of Apostle Paul to the churches he planted were written by revelation under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.

It is the only book on earth unveils the origin of creation, how man fell and the redemption that Jesus brought.

It is the only book on earth that unveils the future to us and what it said is already happening.

2 Timothy 3:16 says All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness This verse is not true with all scriptures in the Bible.

The letters of Apostle Paul to the churches he planted were written by revelation under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.
Jesus selected 12 disciples and one betrayed him and died. The 11 disciples were not enough but Saul had to become Paul after Jesus is no more on earth to write about 14 out of 27 Books of the new testament. The 11 disciples combine couldn't even write the accounts of their teacher but decided to leave the writing for Mark and Luke who were unknown like Paul.

It is the only book on earth unveils the origin of creation, how man fell and the redemption that Jesus brought.
The Qur'an did a better job. The same book that can be used to divide God in to three in one, turning God in to a ritualist father who needs to sacrifice his son for others to be saved!

It is the only book on earth that unveils the future to us and what it said is already happening.

In this regard the Qur'an did a much better job. The mark of the beast has been interpreted to mean many things by several church denominations. Pastor Chris will interpret his to mean A, another Pastor will interpret his to mean B, another C.......
