There is something really disturbing in the Christendom, I know this is not common with everybody but a large percentage of Christians commit this blunder.
It's not wrong because I say so; it is because Christ himself said so and He blamed religious leaders for this evil.
Even though Christ said this over 2000 years ago, it still remains many people's reality.

Many of us are so spiritual that we miss things that matters, we neglect God's instructions and embrace superstitions in the name of religion.

I know you have Spiritual Fathers, (even though Christ warned us on this) and I also know with today's Christian folks many honour and regard their spiritual fathers even if it means disregarding their biological fathers. I have seen this many times, people don't mind disrespecting and belittling their biological parent, while they reverence and worship spiritual father. You are ready to give the whole of your income to spiritual fathers, yet you give excuses to meet your biological father's needs. And then we hide under the passage that says, seek first the Kingdom of God and its righteousness.

The truth is, seeking first the kingdom of God is not just about sleeping in church, but about putting God first in our day to day life decisions.

Today we have many who are so dedicated to church activities, they can give their lives to church events but care less about adultery, fornication, malice, hatred or the purpose for this video...their Parents.

In this passage Christ didn't even blame you for it, He blamed your spiritual fathers for focusing your attention around themselves alone, neglecting God's instructions on your Biological Parents.

Here is the Word of Christ Himself to religious leaders.

Mark 7:8-‬13 NLT
8- For you ignore God’s law and substitute your own tradition.”
9- Then he said, “You skillfully sidestep God’s law in order to hold on to your own tradition.
10- For instance, Moses gave you this law from God: ‘Honor your father and mother,’ and ‘Anyone who speaks disrespectfully of father or mother must be put to death.’
11- But you say it is all right for people to say to their parents, ‘Sorry, I can’t help you. For I have vowed to give to God what I would have given to you.
12- In this way, you let them disregard their needy parents.
13- And so you cancel the word of God in order to hand down your own tradition. And this is only one example among many others.”

Christ is the one talking here remember, not me.

The blessing of long life is not attached to honouring your spiritual fathers even though it's not a wrong thing to do, but it's attached to your Biological Parents because they are more important to your life. Many needs to seek forgiveness from their parent. (Smile)

Seeking the Kingdom of God first, is seeking God's instructions first and it’s important we note this.
