For years I have been using Visasurf (Visafone) Gold Internet services. The service is almost perfect except for its high cost (N13,500 per month) and slow video download. All other things were ok: fast internet connection and reliable services at least in the FCT.

Early this year, a friend introduced me to Glo Always Max: 6GB, all day and night browsing at N7,500.00. And so I switched to Glo and it has been almost smooth sailing until 3 or 4 days ago. No connection 90% of the time or epileptic connection whenever the EDGE option decides to work. The WCMD/HDSP has just refused to work.

Is there anyone with similar issue? What suitable alternatives and solutions can you suggest?

Have been using glo for over two years now and its very fast.I even watch video on it whenever am in a 3g location, but sometime it might be annoying especially when its raining, for me its the best for now

Thanks, beejay. It's been hell for me with GLO for about 4 or 5 days now. Before now all was pretty ok. I have used Multi Links (discarded it in a week) and CellTel/Airtel (smashed the fcukin thing in their office in annoyance over epilectic services). Of all that I've so far used, Visasurf is the most reliable except that it is TOO expensive.

I wish that someone from Glo can explain to me what's going. I've just renewed my subscription with N7,500.00 only to discover that Glo is no longer working.

I have been having same problems too. It all started about a week ago. All was well before then. But i noticed whatever the problem was has been fixed for my office area in apapa but not yet in surulere. i used to have 3g in both locations with speedy downloads until about a week ago when connection kept disconnecting all the time. But like i said, 3g is back and almost stable in apapa. But in Surulere, all i see now is edge if at all. I called their customer care to report the problem and as ever those guys just have any clue.

I called a friend dat works there. he told me a major technical upgrade is going on, Glo wants to overcrash the market with fastttt internet. He said everything will soon be okay. So i just hope so.
