All human inventions you ever see, were once exist in the mind of the inventor as an idea.
In order words, the inventor thought of these things in his mind as an idea, before these things came to be.
The computer design, the phone design, the car model, the aeroplane, the structural design, the bridge, etc, were once existed in the the mind of the inventor and they are done independent of God

So it is with religion.
Religion or Faith only exist in the mind and nothing more.

But in a bid to invent that religion or faith that exist in the mind and make it real, is what you see people do by building cathedrals
praying, fasting and speaking in tongues,
Performing miracles,
Giving arms to the poor,
postulating doctrines like:
women must tye their hair
or put on hijab
they should not put on trousers
or speak in congregations,
Going to church often or routine worship activities.
Preaching brainwashing semons and engulfing wealth at the expense of gullible people,
Performing rituals like spilling the blood of animals,
incantations
embarking on Jihad and pilgrims,
Killing,maiming and discriminating against infidels etc

All these things are products of Faith in the mind, and they are done independent of God
