Nollywood actor and Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) member, Mr Tony Muonagor a.k.a. Tony One-week yesterday emerged the minority leader of the fifth session of the Anambra State House of Assembly.

Besides Muonagor who represents Idemili North State Constituency, the House elected other principal officers with All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Ikechukwu Oseke of Awka South I emerging majority leader and Tony Nwabunwanne representing Anambra West returned as Deputy Majority Leader.

Other principal officers elected at the sitting of the House yesterday, which was its first after inauguration three weeks ago are Uche Ikechukwu Chief Whip,Valentine Anyika as Majority Whip, Tony Uche, Deputy Chief Whip, Emeka Idu, Minority whip and Emeka Anohu, Deputy Minority Whip.

Meanwhile, the House has set up a four-man committee to liaise with executive arm of government and the striking judiciary and health workers in the state to resolve the industrial action.
Speaking on the strike issue before adjourning the sitting to today, the Speaker Mrs. Chinwe Nwebili called for an end to the strike, stressing that the legislators would not fold their hands and allow the state suffer such stress, assuring that the lawmakers would put in their best to resolve the crisis.

Nwebili noted that the strike, if not stopped, would cause a lot of damages to the economy and progress of the state, commending the actions of Governor Peter Obi in ensuring that workers in the state were happy.
Earlier, the Deputy Majority Whip and member representing Idemili South Constituency, Uche, in supporting the motion by the Majority Leader, Oseke for adjournment of the sitting to today had appealed to the judiciary and health workers in the state to call off the strike, assuring that the House would do all it could to see that the issues involved were resolved.

We pray so!
Few years back OK BAKASSI Challenged Ohakim in a joke just for plays, and lol and behold the ousted gov stood there in the crown and made him the FIRST EVER SA TO THE GOV ON ENTERTAINMENT(Creating that ministry), Afterwards, what happened? Okey tried his best and in the past and lost PDP dispensation, he contested for IMHA and the rest can be imagined as PDP lost woefully.

My issue is are these people really fit for this job?
Sometime in early 2000 i opted as a student leader and an activist to see the then Rivers state Gov, and lo and behold i met Hilda, she performed well though
but i assume she is fit to be in there for Youth and Sports or so, But believe you me not all of these people know what they are going in there to do. I pray they have genuine causes sha

Madam Nwebili, how come the workers were made happy and at the same time they are on strike?
Just commend Obi for making members of the House happy with his regular greetings and end it there.
Were it not for the regular gifts by now he should have suffered another impeachment for his financial dealings especially the IGR saga
