JUST-IN: Bandits Kill Miyetti Allah’s Leader, 4 Others In FCT

Suspected bandits have reportedly invaded Gwagwalada area council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), killing the chairman of the Miyyetti Allah Cattle Breeders’ Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), Adamu Aliyu.

From information gathered, Aliyu was said to have been killed alongside four others near Daku village in Dobi ward of the council area on Thursday.
The Secretary of MACBAN, Mohammed Usman, who made this known on Sunday, said during the invasion of the community, three people were kidnapped, while three others who sustained gunshot wounds were receiving treatment at the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital in Gwagwalada.

Usman explained that the bandits shattered the windscreen of the truck, which conveyed the late MACBAN chairman and some passengers.

“They were retuning from Izom market in Niger state where they went to sell cows, until just one kilometer to Daku village when the bandits suddenly emerged from the bush and opened fire on the truck, killing the MACBAN chairman and four others,” he said

He gave the names of others killed as Saleh, Aliyu, Muhammadu and Saidu, saying their corpses had been buried according to Islamic rites.
