airsaylongcome: Most designs in Nigeria are very poor. A good house doesn't need electricity to be cool in hot weather or warm in cold weather. This also applies to good lightening and visibility. A good design shouldn't allow a whole building to get burnt down in case of a fire outbreak. It's not all about beauty. Shelter is not only to secure us from wild animals but also from hash weather conditions. Nigeria has a long way to go in architectural/structural designs |

Thanksful: A portion of this blame rests on clients/property owners who ll rather go to a mason or artisan to handle his/project instead of using the services of a professional. so many buildings you see in the country today didn't go through any planning phase. The owner will go straight and meet a mason to give him quotation and boom they have started molding blocks before you know a structure is already rising, they don't even understand or value the importance of getting a drawing first. Some do get their drawings and end up not utilizing a professional during the construction phase. I 1 Like |
