Then again, how poorly paid are today's NYSC Corp members, at least in comparison to their counterparts in other parts of world where similar mandatory military/paramilitary youth service schemes exists? I did a little digging online and found the following shortlisted info of the basic salary of Corp members in some countries as posted online. Make of it of what you will. Estonia - 150 Euros Monthly China - $150 USD per month South Korea - $131 USD per month Turkey - $25 USD per month Finland - 5.20 Euros per day Switzerland - CHF 62 or $64 USD per day Greece - 8.80 Euros + 3 square meals daily + clothing allowance Denmark - DKK 210 or $32 USD per day Singapore - About $400 USD per month Israel - $260 USD monthly ( the minimum duration is 2.5 years) Germany - 9.5 Euros (minimum) per day Ghana - $74 USD per month Sweden - $223 monthly (approx.)
