Most importantly start planning ur path b4 finishing, whether u plan on going into academics (start by applying for scholarship or masters) or u plan going into ur career proper (have a CV pls)

The life we leave in, is all about grace. Your case cannot and should not be compared to others.....so I think that there should be nothing for you to be scared of. We all are very much aware that the country is nothing to write home about, but I think you should believe in God and the gift of grace.

Act your best in your PPA regardless of size.. if they don't retain you, some people might notice you and likely recommend you to top multinationals and from there, you'd be on your way up. NYSC is part of your work experience so don't joke with it.

Not to brag but when guy man like go serve four years, na from the day wey I go enter camp alarm don dey ring. My old man no kuku reason me the bar wey I ask am, na grumble I carry go camp.

I no for once touch maami food, I no slim fit my 7/7 (nigga was looking like a lost and washed up SU) last last, man go PPA and the thing no top funny, but I still rough am.

Enter one local Christian assembly, try align with the pastor and gbam, na so the hustle kick off. I start dey do small small home lessons deh combine am with small designs and any odd jobs.

Make I no too drag matter na after 6 months when I dey serve I don visualize the kind hustle wey I go chook my head if white collar job no show and to God be the glory, I still dey hustle quietly for the bricklaying department wey I dey.

In conclusion, jobs are hard to come by however you can brush up on those redundant skills you have, market it and take it up from there.

Omorh no be lie....it hits very heavily when you're posted to a new place you don't know anyone...you gats pay house rent, feeding,and other expenses....
The best thing is get something doing before service,if possible work your service to a place you are already conversant with and have contacts....

I got no time to save money yet, cus i had only little skill before starting.
I risked my allawee in food stuff and one skill. Will start saving small percentage of allawee in my 4th month(next month)

Guy, if I go advise you, even though you wan dey find one skill to do. Please, also try apply for job before the end of your services year. Thankfully, most organisations do online interviews, with that, you can apply and do interviews online even before you pass out. Never lie about yourself during interview.

Reason why alot of ex-corpers still look for job after services is because they wait till after services before they start applying for job.

Look for job platform like LinkedIn.com, jobbberman.com, etc and other whatapps and telegram job channel. This will give you information about available jobs and might help you in getting a place before services end. Gracias!!!!

I got a job while still serving..
Had to combine PPA and new job for the last 3 months of my service year.

After NYSC, I was moving from one job to the other until I got govt job and eventually relocated abroad.
It depends on what you studied.
NYSC that many of my colleagues avoid.
Some have relocated abroad without serving.

This is why as a corp member, you need to invest your allawee in learning digital skills or start businesses that will pay you even if you are sleeping.



Examples of the business you can start with nothing more than N33k and that will keep paying you over and over again are:
