Series of events have been popping for the past days...
Chief amongst them are:
1. Abuse of the Internet: It has become very obvious that myopic individuals are hell bent on reducing the information highway to a place of mediocrity or better still, a circus! A wonderful place that proffers solutions by way of enriching people with wisdom, knowledge and sundry information has become, very painfully an avenue where all manner of stupid and lurid jokes are on display. The other day, one clearly demented thing that looks very much like the dog she claimed to be having intercourse with, finally came out tearfully to abuse our sensibilities further by grandstanding; "I was simply catching cruise, I didn't kill anybody" she said. Catching cruise? Of course, she is right, even if she clearly did not know the meaning of the word. To catch cruise actually mean to 'actively seek a romantic partner or casual sexual partner! Except for the fact that that girl looks exactly like a ghoul, I would have bothered to ask where she got the idea from, because the three major religions on earth, including ATR condemned BESTIALITY, that is, sex with animals! The punishment is death. Looking further into the whole matter without preconceived notion,you would notice that she seems to be choiceless with regards to the possibility of attracting a man, little wonder the resort to dog! She looks so dirty, unkept and decrepit, and since dogs have no value consideration, they became a perfect match. So please, less of blames on her. The only danger is that she will one day crawl into the hands of an unsuspecting innocent man, who would never know that he is sharing a supposed honey pot with a dog! The only rude awakening is that ladies living with dogs are serious suspects henceforth. Moreover, those who feed their dogs better than themselves!!!
Another issue that trended was or is that local champion that married his side chick after putting her in the family way; or after she put him in the husband way! I cannot put anything far from these gold diggers, moreover when all the photographs of her, had her putting on one worn out sandals! Thankfully at least, this was a liaison between two humans, no dog involved. I wouldn't have commented on this but for the attempted denials, most annoying was the plot to introduce obfuscation into the whole matter. What's that? Who cares a rat's behind if you sleep with a house girl or a hungry looking over bloated woman? But coming to tell us it was an awareness or publicity stunt is outright irritating. OK, wait! You want to use infidelity to create awareness for a convoluted malarial dream to be Nigeria's President? Oh, president sorry! Everybody will rule us, okoooo!
Ah! I almost forgot the matter of the 'actress' who said her boyfriend locked her up in his house and raped her repeatedly? My worry here is on how shame has suddenly become,unbelievably, an alien word to this forcing guys! I used to think that a woman's dignity is somewhat tied or better still,is reflected by her level of chastity or a perception of it. Imagine someone being raped repeatedly, yet, she didn't report to the police or to her family, instead she came to social media! Who did this to us? But seriously, if you listened to her interview, you will not fail to notice the nostalgic tone in her voice when she said she was raped repeatedly by her boyfriend! Curtains!
Refreshing news and pictures finally came from the United States where our own African born Trevor Noah anchored President Biden's white house correspondents dinner! Wow, it was a pleasant departure from this desperate, attention seeking hustlers taking up space on Nigeria's information highway.
Oh yes, workers in Rivers state appeared at their May day rally, dressed in mourning clothes; black! Seems their message connected for within 24hours we heard that their pension, that have been experiencing network failure or congestion has finally been approved to be paid them! Hallelujah, maybe we should all learn from Rivers state retirees; wear black apparel to speak without talking. Greater news following the release or approval of the pensioners funds is that our brother, who hitherto said he has nothing to do with Igbo's and the agitation of marginalization has now recanted. He says he supports the agitation except the violence that is associated with it. Good news, just that this change came as it seems, because of interest in the Presidency. Court adjourns!!!
