There is an ongoing protest in Sokoto State seeking for the immediate release of persons arrested by police over the gruesome murder of Miss Deborah Samuel who was accused blasphemy, POLITICS NIGERIA reports.

Deborah, a 200 level student of the Sokoto State College of Education, was on Thursday beaten, stoned and her body was burned afterwards by some northern youths.

The videos of the cruel act went viral on social media and caused massive outrage.

At least two persons were arrested by the police after the incident, and the security agents vowed through Sanusi Abubakar, Police’s spokesperson in Sokoto State, that the suspects in the viral video on Twitter were spotted and will be nailed soon.
As the demonstrators side with the killers on Saturday morning, security forces are on ground managing the situation.

Meanwhile, Nigerians are still using Twitter to protest Deborah’s killing, calling on the government to ensure that justice was served.

I can only stay as a resident in Christian dominated parts of North e.g Gombe, Taraba and the likes. Not where fanatics dwell (even in abundance). It is unconducive for me.

Islam can be equated with madness. And to think that those who managed to condemned the killing do so from their heart is grand deceit. They merely do sobto save face or protect their image in the international community.

For the arrest so far made, it's a matter of time the case will die a natural death.

God help us

Why should a religion teach its adherents to murder anyone who they consider to have "insulted" their god or prophet? That's more like a Religion of Terror rather than Religion of Peace.

This Islamic Lunatic and all his blood-thirsty cohorts must be arrested to face murder charges...

See Sokoto my state.

I finished MSc there.

I finished my PDGE in that college of education where the female student was murdered.

Chai!

I still remember brothers Isaiah whom they used to stone whenever he was going to church.

I avoided wearing clothes that showed I was going to church because some people were stoned when they wear fine clothes and were openly holding Bible on the way to the church.

I remember my friend Victor who was so stoned and harassed that he had to pack out from where he was living.

I remember 2015 where everywhere in Sokoto, people were buying knives and cutlasses to use and attack Christians if Jonathan won the election. But Jonathan eventually lost.

God will help us all.

They didn't have weapons before then?

I am telling you the truth because I saw everything.

They were selling knives and cutlasses.

People who didn't have cutlasses were buying them.

Almost all the Christians I knew fled the state before the election.

I will never forget how I planned to hide in the empty classes of Usman Dan Fodyio University Sokoto when the problem eventually start.

The school is far from town in another local government area and was on holiday.

If there is problem in town, the school would be safe because there is no way they can go there since it was empty and is far from town.

I took the decision because I planned to travel 3 days to the election. But by then, all the luxurious buses were taken away from Sokoto because of the fear that the buses would be burnt down if Jonathan won. It was certain that any buses and businesses belonging to the Southerners would be burnt.

So many Southerners left the state and there were no buses going to the south.

My mom called and expressed dismay over my plight.

So I took the decision to hide in their University.

Buhari just wanted to cause civil war but Jonathan gave him power. All their children were overseas and they mobilize people to come out and kill.
