People need to understand that US and Russian military doctrines are different. The whole Sweden and Finland joining NATO is more symbolic than strategic since both have been indirectly part of NATO for over 2 decades. They just made it formality now. And they’re not different from Estonia and Lithuania that are NATO members. Ukraine is much more important due to Sea of Azov - losing that would cripple Russia.

Anyway, there’s a reason why Russians are the best chess players in the world. Russians are slow to react but when they react - it always come with a bigger blow. With the current CSTO meeting going on in Russia and the announcement of a dozen more countries joining the organisation - be on the lookout for Mexico, Cuba, Brazil, Venezuela and Argentina to join the next batch (Argentina is currently in Russia as an observer). Once they join CSTO - the US will cry and throw its toys out of the pram, lol.

Finland and Sweden are already NATO partner countries, meaning they are NATO members, but not formally which is about to change, they coordinate their policies, ideas, and values, they give each other weapons and intel and conduct military training together with NATO for decades.

Finland and Sweden are not Ukraine, they are very rich and powerful, they have robust military infrastructures and they've been preparing for Russia for decades.

These countries won't be begging NATO for planes and military gadgets like Ukrain because they have their own ready to go, they won't be begging NATO for fighter jets, because Sweden is the maker of the powerful Gripen Fighter jets, and the fact that Sweden and Finland already have security guarantees from the US and the UK means Putin can not mess with them.

Putin might just want to take his losses and not suffer more embarrassment with another fruitless adventure with more powerful and militarily p and politically prepared countries.

Yes, No countries sets a date per say for when a country will fall but you will agree with me with the massing of troops that took place months ahead before the invasion you wouldn't expect Ukraine to be standing but here we are 83 days later and they are not any closer to their military objectives.
