Believe me. The Igbos generally don't care where you're from. Ever noticed that, despite the destruction of the properties of Igbos in the North there has never been reprisal attacks on northerners in Igbo land?
An average Igbo man doesn't have time, as long as you don't threaten his business and family, you're good.
While there are bad and foolish people in every tribe including the Igbo tribe, Igbos are generally good people. At least my Yoruba neighbour, the store in my street owned by a Yoruba family, and my mum's many Hausa customers can attest to this.

I just remember one of our tenants who was an igbo guy then, this guy was my G when i was living with my parents as a secondary school student then… This guy lived in our house for years. He speaks local dialect like a native, he was a local and popular celebrity in our neighbourhood then.

Fast forward to few years after, he became my brother from different mother. He had a big pharmaceutical store then. And he is from Enugu. Very generous guy!

He started dating one bastard like that, he dumped the girl that suffered with him and started dating one village-sophisticated girl who ruined his life! I told him the stupid girl was an Olosho(wayward girl in school) but he refused to listen to me, he even went as far as telling the girl. The lady hate me with passion... Sadly the guy never recovered from all his loss over that hoe!

Why this story?
The reason why i shared this story is this, the lady in question is a Yoruba lady and i was protecting an Igbo guy whom i see as a brother from being used by a hoe. I didn’t even see his tribe then until i registered on Nairaland. It was Nairaland that open my eyes to Igbo this, Yorubas that and Fulani…

Funny enough, only this week, i have bought things worth more than #2m from Igbo guys who treated me with full respect

I'm from the south south and definitely we the southerners are all massively rooting for an igbo presidency. We the south south don't even make noise at all but we know who our vote is going to.

My region Edo, Delta, Bayelsa, Akwa ibom and PH are all voting for an igbo candidate. U know why? Because the both regions Hausa and Yoruba presidency have failed us woefully, hence the reason we're backing an igbo man. It is surprising when you Yorubas says nobody will vote for an igbo man as though you make decisions for we southerners. This is annoying and lame. Stop it!
