My Honest Opinion Concerning The Killings In South East by Neatboy(m): 7:37pm On May 24, 2022
Seriously, I weep for what is happening in Nigeria, and most importantly in the South East Region. It really breaks my heart to see people die everyday in this country. Can we just stop this wickedness for the sake of humanity and in the name of God? I beg whomsoever is responsible!

What is happening in the South East is condemnable. And no reasonable Igbo person should support this. But the fundamental questions here are: how did we get to this point? An average Igbo man that we know really love life and that is why wherever he goes he beautifies the place to make the place like his own home. If the Igbo man is in the habit of beautifying another man's land then do you all think he would set his own house or land on fire?

Can't we just sit back and think about what is happening to us all and how we got to this point? I am not happy with IPOB and the way they are handling this secession matter. If they are responsible for all these let them let us know that they have turned violent, but if they are not responsible, then let them be so quick to condemn any act of barbarity and not just wait until the Nigeria media have finished painting them black then they will now start their damage control denial method.

Are the killings done by ESN, IPOB or UGM? I am not in defence of IPOB, but even if IPOB had come out and stated categorically that ESN are in the forest chasing out Fulani Herdsmen, still, my questions are: Since we've not heard of the Fulani menace much again in the South East then where are those ESN boys? Where have they gone to with the arms? Who was paying them before? Are they the ones parading now as the UGM? Have they become loosed and monstrous because they no longer have a central command since Nnamdi Kanu was captured?

*THE ORDER SIDE OF THE COIN:*
Another side to this is: are these UGM Fulani Herdsmen in disguise trying to make South East ungovernable because of the South East outright rejection of RUGA and of Fulani taking over their farmlands? Or are they the foot soldiers of our politicians --- Hope Uzodimma, Rochas Okorocha, Andy Uba etc, that have gone out of their grips just like Herdsmen had also gone out of the grips of the Fulani Oligarchs?

And even if they are sponsored by these politicians or rather used by them, then why are the UGMs singing secessionist song? Why are they killing security officials and why are some people from the South East passively singing their praise?

All these are questions begging for answers!

To me, I believe that whatsoever is bedeviling the South East today is caused by the Nigeria State or system. If you had travelled to the South East before this time you'd realize that these people are not Nigerians but conquered people. From Delta to Abia State you might see up to 100 Police and army checkpoints or extorting points--- And it is not even like that in the besieged Maryopol of Ukraine. My point here is, it is not all children you should beat with a rod, some you beat or discipline with words. If you choose to go with rod all the time you might end up hardening the softhearted. Do you remember how the Nigeria Army were killing innocent IPOB protesters like flies? No respect for human life at all! They will even kill you if you are putting on an ordinary Biafra insignia, and now, they have succeeded in hardening these people. Now, the same security personnel will barely move around freely in the South East with Nigeria Security Insignia without being gunned down. Generally, the high-handedness of the Nigeria Security Force, most especially the Nigeria Army is so disturbing--- no rule of engagement or human face at all! I believe many have lost touch with humanity because of the incessant wasting of innocent people's blood (END-SARS comes to mind). Sincerely speaking, the Nigeria Government has succeeded in creating another monster in the South East.

Was it IPOB\ESN that killed Dora Akunyili's husband? No! It was politically motivated! Was it IPOB\ESN that killed that Anambra Law Maker? No! I don't think so! I believe all these are politically motivated! But what will they gain by roping it on IPOB? Why is the Nigeria Government with the help of the media are so bent in roping this IPOB--- just like calling a dog bad name just to hang it. Why are they struggling so much to put IPOB in the same category with Boko Haram, but have refused to proscribe the Fulani Herdsmen as terrorist group even when UN had done so? How can IPOB be peaceful in the United States, UK, Japan etc, and be violent in Nigeria?

Just like Edwin Clarke said, if you don't want them let them go! You can't keep them and still be subjugating them. It is only a matter of time and there will be an uprising. It may be worst than the Arab Spring or French Revolution.

How I think this problem can be solved: The Nigeria government and the South East Political leaders, if they are really sincere enough, they should organize a political-cum-security summit concerning the South East in the South East. Let this matter be thoroughly discussed. Giving the South East the presidency will not stop all these--- in fact, there is a natural deep hatred for the Igbo man in this country. I have interacted with many Igbo people, even most of the rich ones do not really believe in this country because of this deliberate policy of exclusion. And if not for the fact that Igbos have made themselves indispensable the Nigeria system would have totally severed them. Let the President and the Igbo political and religious classes act like fathers now and call these boys and ask them to drop their arms. Where is our revered Reverend Ejike Mbaka, please speak up! I am really tired of this bloodletting!

The killings are brutal and barbaric and if its ipob that is behind this, it's makes no sense at all since their leader is already in prison it will only implicate him the more.. it does not make sense that ipob will be brutally killing and making life difficult for thesame people that will vote if their referrandum is granted.

It is not IPOB.

The killings are done by Russian soldiers. They missed their way and mistakenly landed in southeast Nigeria. Those they killed looked like Ukrainians in their eyes.

Its unfortunate that Nigeria is not a civilised country. In civilised countries, when a crime is commited, the security forces swiftly investigate, fish out the perpetrators and bring them to book, and everyone will know who did it

In Nigeria, the opposite happens. A crime is commited, everyone will claim to know who did it, with no evidence, and even before investigations start. Even the security forces do this.

As things stand now, any crime commited in the South east is blamed IPOB even before the police gets to scene. Nobody is even interested in getting the perpetrators, they only care about blaming IPOB

In the meantime, IPOB denies being behind the violence and condemn the violence

The end result is that the crime goes largely unpunished, and we are left playing blame game as the violence increases.

Very unfortunate, no amount of blame game reduces violence
