Let this be a lesson to the pilgrim!

Compromise is never worth it! He thought he could do "anything" as justification for winning power at all costs. After all said and done, he would have told us of how the end justifies the means! Thank God the end is already here and God did not allow for a bad example to be set as precedence for a generation God is showing mercy.

Where will he bury his head?

All his hero worship, silence in the name of having "tied hands", slavery, grovelling and looking away when the wrong things were done, how did it end? Shame and tears!

Dear pilgrim, worldlings know those who truly belong to them and no matter how you try to win them over, appease them by playing along or have the best of their own world by compromising your values or faith, they will NEVER accept you as one of their own. Why sell your soul in the name of pursuing a so called "righteous cause"? You cannot do the Lord's business the devil's way! The scepter of His Kingdom is the scepter of righteousness!

May this be a lesson to the pilgrim.
Compromise is never worth it no matter the perceived gain.

God's Cyrus is coming!

May God bless Nigeria.

So never mind that God warned His followers to stay away from the politics of the world of men - Matthew 20 vs 20 - 28 - you lot instead think God a fool for decreeing this, this while you wait for Him to send you a Cyrus? undecided

You mean you waited 7 years to say this? And Cyrus will have no political affiliation/compromise? He'll just come in on white horse in a Christful way?

Every country has the government it deserves. In a moroncracy-demoncracy combo, people get the leaders they deserve.

What manner of gibberish is this. You this fellow, you never cease to amaze me.

The word, church, translated from the Greek, ecclesia, adopted for use by our Lord and Saviour of the whole wide word, Jesus Christ, God incarnate, meaning, God personified or God in human flesh form, is a word with political overtones meaning. The original, ecclesia is defined as a political assembly of citizens in Athens.

Personal text: Jesus is not a theologian. He is God who told stories.

God's Cyrus in this context is not necessarily a believer but an unbeliever whom God would use to fulfil is Agenda see Isaiah 45
God's Cyrus in this context is not necessarily a believer but an unbeliever whom God would use to fulfil is Agenda see Isaiah 45
Agenda in Isaiah 45? But God already sent His people, Israel, Cyrus the Great, the very one God spoke of in Isaiah 45. He already fulfilled that Agenda as stipulated by God in Isaiah 45 and this took place thousands of years ago. undecided

In Jesus Christ, God didn't promise anyone a Cyrus the Great since Jesus Christ, the one greater than all the Cyruses is the one He sent instead. lipsrsealed

I didn't imply that the 'Cyrus' in Isaiah 45 is the one we are expecting in Nigeria...I was only trying to show draw from the scriptural record of what God used Cyrus to do and how God will raise someone in Nigeria for a similar purpose.. Believe it or not, God has a plan for Nigeria

You ask me to believe that God has a plan for Nigeria, the nation, and my question to you is when did God make this plan? undecided

And when exactly did He promise to rase someone in Nigeria for a similar purpose as He used Cyrus. undecided

More importantly, why would God do this after He has already sent Jesus Christ to redeem the same world of men? undecided

So this Cyrus fellow will be some scapegoat, unworthy of salvation? Since you seem to agree that he'll have a political platform/compromise?

Maybe God didn't plan it. He just predicted what would happen in the future.

True followers of Jesus Christ were not supposed to engage in politics.

If Jesus was here today, he wouldn't join politics. The early church was politically neutral.
