If this was done by Igbos, they'll cry Biafra agitators have come again.

If this was done in youruba land, they'll blame Sunday Igboho.

Let's practice federalism, they say no.
Let's go back to regional government, they say never.

Don't be surprised if a policeman, an army officer or an immigration officer conducts official operations in Hausa language alone.

Don't be surprised when almost all federal government activities are conducted in hausa language.

Soonest, NECO may start conducting primary six, JSS3 and SSS3 exams in Hausa language.

BUK and some other northern higher institutions may start offering let lectures in Hausa language.

They have shifted the goal post in their favour.

They have dribbled other and moved ahead.

Modified:
How did educationally less developed state status developed by northern Nigeria favor the south?

Billions is being pumped into nomadic education yet, no result.

How has almajiri education helped the north?

Money from southern Nigeria will be used to finance more of this and in 30 years time we'll see no result.

Let them learn in all languages of northern Nigeria, if they like. It is another waste of money.

Let's have regional government and do things the way it pleases us.

If Chinese,Russians,Arabs and others study the sciences in their languages, what is wrong using your native language teaching chemistry.

Science is a universal language, and many recipients of Nobel prizes in chemistry, physics and so on are not from western countries

But, this is OK!
It is a challenge for other regions to have those books in their own languages too.

Anything done or proposed by other regions is a no no for the north. They only do what favours them. Love to set pace and dictate.

It is not a bad development, in fact ones' mother tongue remains the best means of communication/teaching.

I was born in Lagos and during my schooling days there, we were forced to offer yoruba at junior level. But that doesn't apply in the North.

sciences will be understood 100% if translated in local languages
Why will the West make bible available in every language but can't make science available in every language?

It is very much welcomed. The sooner you realise that you have shortchanged your culture with another that will not pay you, the better. The only thing that justifies the use of English language in this country is the fact that we have too many tribes so that's the only way to communicate effectively as a nation. Go and look at the Chinese, Koreans, etc. They kept their culture and language but that did not stop them from making waves in tech, industry, academics etc
Re: See How Hausas Are Dividing Nigeria by blaquebelle: 12:16am On Jun 14, 2022
It is not the west that will translate it for us. That is our responsibility
