I have allergic rhinitis.

I've had it for as long as I can remember.

Don't worry. It's not something very serious.

If you don't know what it is, it's an allergic reaction to things like pollen, dust, perfume, deodorant, powder, cream, the list goes on.

It causes watery, itchy eyes, runny nose and let's not even talk about the sneezing. Hei God!.

The typical example of when someone sneezes and you say "bless you" to them and it's like the bless you was motivation for them to continue �

I could sneeze for 10 minutes straight. Or more. It's that crazy. My whole eyes would water and itch me and become red after scratching.

And what of when it was cold? Let's not even talk about it �

I could remember the day it was so cold and I was sneezing badly. Then my mom told me to apply "aboniki balm" to my nose �

Brethren � what my eyes saw that day, let me not even go there � I was tempted to ask my mom if she was the one that gave birth to me after giving me that advice �

Funny part is, I didn't even know I had "allergic rhinitis". I just knew I reacted to all those things but I didn't even know there was a diagnosis for it.

I was searching something health related on Google one day when I discovered about it.

And I was like; this definitely matches with what I was experiencing.

Then I sent it to my sister. Cause she has the allergy also. And she was like; "Nma, na this thing dey do us?" �
And I told her yes oo �

She gave me tips and insiders on how to control it. But it still didn't help.

Then she came home one time, and was telling me about a drug the mother of a friend who is a pharmacist recommended to her. And it worked for her.

This drug works like magic!. Loratadine. If you know this drug, it's very very tiny and you're supposed to take only one in a day. But this medicine worked like magic for me.

I took it for two days straight and I didn't have any allergic reaction for close to a month!

I was so relieved! My sister would heavily spray her deodorant and though I would choke � but I won't go into a sneezing spree �

I got relieved from something I've battled for years due to a particular knowledge I got about something. A very simple and affordable drug.

What's my point? Knowledge.

Knowledge is my point. Most of the times, the reason why you might still be struggling with something is because of something you don't know!

Imagine if I had known about this medicine since. Or maybe if I didn't find out about it. I would have continued like that �

But see how knowledge solved my problem.

You see, that problem you might still have is because you don't have knowledge of the solution yet.

You're complaining of lack of money but you've not gained the knowledge that there are now legitimate businesses and skills you could go into.

You don't know you can learn a particular language, work as a translator and get paid really good money.

You don't know you could venture into online businesses and skills like SEO optimization, Kindle direct publishing, copywriting to make money.

You don't know you can volunteer to work in companies without pay as an undergraduate to gain the experience they are always looking for as a graduate when you apply for jobs.

Quite honestly, knowledge will save you from a lot of troubles.

And yes. This was the entire point of my story. Cause it honestly brought me to the realization.

So seek for knowledge. Trust me, the solution to that your situation or problem is knowledge. You just need to get it.
