What are the dangers in marrying someone that's not from your tribe.the lady is yoruba the man is Ebira

The fact that you're asking this question is a red flag to start with, maybe both of them should never marry.

Most people who are worried about tribe is because they are tribalistic themselves. They are usually the problem and not the other person.

People could be of different tribes but yet share same philosopies and view point about life. That to me is what matter most. So what you should be interested about is:

1. Do they share the same ideologies and goals?
2. Does any of them possess any trait(red flags) that will lead to strains in the marriage?
3. Are they happy with each other?
4. Can they lead a good life with each other?
5. Is the person a tribal bigot? That is, do they think their tribe as being more important than another?

The above mentioned and more have nothing to do with a persons tribe.

That's the issue, me I am Yoruba but I have never had issues with anyone asking about my Tribe and I have not dated a Yoruba lady in 8 years.

If someone is worried about scary cultural roots of their spouse, It is because he/she is showing very traditional tendencies to watch out for during courting phase. So ask him particularly if HE cares about their culture so much to die for.

If possible record his responses, to use as evidence in the future. Nobody can carry you handicap.
