Today is the independence day of the United States of America. The US had its independence on 4 July, 1776. They fought the independence war or the revolutionary war with Great Britain the country that colonized them in 1775 and miraculously defeated them with a small army against the large and well equipped British army after eight years of fighting.

So they were fighting against the British army even after independence and did not deter till the British colonialists were defeated.

General George Washington was the man God used to conquer the British colonialist and in 1789, six years after the war ended and thirteen years after declaration of Independence he became the first president of the United States of America.

The declaration of Independence was signed by John Adams the second US president and was written by Thomas Jefferson the third president.

Everything about this country was put in the Hands of God and He has always been with them. The people of America are thankful and for His goodness and blessings on them as seen in their observance or celebration of the thanks giving day.

God is always happy when a man or nation is thankful and grateful for the good that He does to Him or it. This will bring more blessings to the man or nation and the Americans are aware of this.

In the world before 1400s there was no knowledge of North and South America. What was known in the old world was the continents of Africa, Asia, and Europe they did not know that there was a vast land on the West and North - West of Africa. And when Leif Erickson the Viking from Scandinavia discovered North America they were surprised that there was such a vast land on Earth. When Christopher Columbus stumbled there a 100 years or so later he was very surprised and also very happy that he sent a message to Europe that "we have found land".

But there were people living in America before the whites (Europeans) came there. They are the red Indians and they are the ones who own the land.

The Europeans went to search for land where they can find because they needed freedom and they needed it very much.

And that was the reason Christopher Columbus left the shores of Spain to search for land anywhere he could find inorder to live freely and happily. They wanted to leave the problems and dark inclinations of Europe and seek for freedom of religion, speech, and the rights of man. And I am surprised they were able to find it, really surprised.

The United States is 246 years old today so they have been there not for over 200 years but over 500 years since the first British colonialist town was set in Jamestown near the river James. They went through hell and they almost gave but were seen through by God.

Will the United States make it for more 100 years or will it soon be destroyed? That will depend on the reason the founding fathers founded the US and the reason why the Europeans discovered America.

The founding fathers founded the country on God and His laws and the first and early Europeans went there for freedom of religion and the rights of man so if the US must go on for more 100 or 200 years then it must be subject to God and His laws and hold the rights and dignity of man in a positive way.

I don't want the US to go down but history and prophecy say that the US will be destroyed but I pray it takes another 200 years for it to happen. They are a very good country and a gift of God to man in the end times.

They passed through many tragedies such as the american civil war; the assassinations of presidents Lincoln, Kennedy and others; the great depression; the terrorists attacks of the world trade center; the global melt down and others.

They also achieved many things like the ending of the first and second world wars, playing a major role in the establishment of the UN, sending the first men to the moon, ending the cold war, bringing down the Berlin Wall, economic improvement of third world nations, and other achievements.

I hope the Americans still see their need on earth because they are a very needed country on earth, an instrument of the peace, goodness, and fairness of God.

The Americans are determined and courageous and that's the reason they continued till today. And moreso they had hope in God who saw them through.

They are a destined nation to lead the world for a time. They must continue to rely on God as long as they want to be the leading nation.

Thanks. It would trend on Twitter, Facebook and other social media because the Americans love their country so much and would always celebrate and talk about the day of Independence of their country in gatherings, on air, online and other places with optimism and enthusiasm.

It also shows the love and regard that they have for their founding fathers, the men who fought for their existence today.

The whites in America did all their best to be fair with every race or peoples. I know what they did to stop slave trade and how it led to the civil war and finally how it was abolished in the US.

The whites are to most extent considerate. Even when lands were taken from the Red Indians they were resettled in other lands that are not their own to prevent them from carrying out incessant conflicts with the whites.

It was a policy of the government to put them in check and control for the country to be developed.

And afterwards as time went on they will be integrated into the society. And they have been given a place in today's America.

Long before the Europeans came to America the Red Indians knew and were preparing for it. Their ancestors and oracles told them that the whites are coming to their land.

Some tribes were told by their ancestors that the Europeans were coming to build their land and that they should welcome them.

Other tribes were told that they were coming to destroy them and they should fight and be enemies of the whites.

But which ever the case the whites came to develop America and the Red Indians have benefited immersely from it. And they need to be happy for this.

Though the hostile tribes were initially subjugated. Now things are fine for the Red Indians now in America.

America is not misogynistic and young people are encouraged to marry (young women) and live happily.

The United States is a balanced and progressive nation. They always seek the good and right things.

Though sometimes it takes time but they always come to what is good and right. The issue of slavery, the issue of segregation against the blacks, the issue of better living standard for the common people.

The issue of wars, the issue of establishing the UN in actualizing peace, the issue of assisting third world countries (billions of dollars are sent home to black countries every year by friends, relatives), and so on show that they are always coming to the good or right ways of life. Not all countries or peoples care about this.

If there is an issue they are always inclined to solving it and that is why they are a balanced nation. And this makes me to be happy with them.

The world need to be thankful to God for America what if we have the Nazis in power over every country then you will begin to understand that a peace loving people who seek the good things is a gift to man.
