In the build up to the APC primary election, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu (Jagaban) said ” E gbe kini yii wa, Emilokan (bring this thing, it’s my turn) in a viral video. This catchy phrase has become popular in Nigeria most especially among his Yoruba stock that are supporting him to win the 2023 Presidential election.

Tinubu’s supporters have rebranded Emilokan to become awa lokan (it is our turn). Politically inclined Nigerians are divided along ethnic and religious lines to support their candidates. However, I want to dialogue with his supporter’s that are Yoruba:

You are shouting: Emilokan because your brother Tinubu said it and you joined the bandwagon.
