Africa Still Under Colonialism - France Still In Charge Of Many Countries by Lionize: 8:56am On Jul 11, 2022
I just watched this video and I almost cried. Like, for real? I had watched a TEDx broadcast of one young black lady who stated that France is only surviving on Africa, I was as shocked as her audience. I had to share that Video with my South African and Somali friends.

Now I am even more shocked and I wonder how Britain's grip is still on Nigeria. It seems when official 'slavery and colonialism' ended, the colonialists formed an 'alliance' to ensure nobody takes away food from their mouth. I am wondering when and if this will ever end. Why africa?

Some of the highlights of the video, in case you are not able to watch it:

The speaker is Julius Malema and the group is EFF
He read a memorandum which demands the colonials masters, especially France (with control of 12 African countries), to leave Africa
The twelve countries are still using the French currency
The countries have to keep 50% of their reserve in the central bank of France, and cannot access more than 15% of that, if they wish to access more than 15% of that, they have to borrow it.
French must be their official language
The French Ambassador had refused to come out to receive the memorandum on behalf of France, but Julius said he had to go and get him out. That he should know that he is not in France, but in Africa.
He is proposing that Africa should adopt a common language - Swahili.
He made reference to Nigeria insisting a Nigerian language be adopted instead. But he argued that even though Nigerian languages are spoken by more people, Swahili is spoken by more countries.
He said they claim Africans are poor, they don't want Africans, but they are the ones impovershing Africa
I really feel for Africa.

No body is holding Africans. They are allergic to development.

Even the colonial language should be a plus if we are sensible cos, it has aid transactions between different ethnicities which ordinarily has different languages.

A typical Nigerian can't communicate with a Ghanaian if not for English so why not build upon the advantages of colonial presence and move forward other than blame the west.

See the kinda person's struggling to rule Nigeria , see Cameroons Paul Bida, compare with the western leaders... imagine a 42 years old Kemi (female Nigerian) vying for British PM....

When we ready we go grow...

Lol... The language is to enable them have easy communication to keep stealing from Africa...

You don't seems to understand what this means...

If Nigeria decides to make the changes, the colonial people will stop their allies from patronizing Nigeria... Facebook will cut their connection. Even MTN will cut us off...

Infact, just like what's happening to Russia... Sanctions upon sanctions... Until Nigeria begs to do their biddings..

That's why, they colonize using allies...

My using Nigeria is just a reference, the post is AFRICA and by that I believe the post meant the Entire Black Africa.

That being said, I still believe that Africa's under development is 80% our fault and 20$ on the west.

Let's see smtin using Nigeria we both are familiar with, in 1979 the NECOM house (Nigeria) was the tallest building in west Africa and one of the tallest in the entire Africa, in 2022 I believe its still the tallest in Nigeria ( Do you get the point)

African are just self centered and its reflective in how things are today.

Truth is the West at this time dont care if we have 24/7 electricity or clean water or good road they may want raw materials at cheap rate and a market to sell their goods but if African leaders are half as sincere as they should they would make good deals for their people...

Another Example is China, I dont like the Chinese but before 1945, they had no stake in global politics, but were able to spin things round today. The west didn't give them that privilege, they took it.

We don't have to go against the West straight up but at least we should have favorable conditions, social amenities and stuff.

In regards to thr francophone Countries I believe they enjoy easy access to France also hence they prefer the status quo. France was going to fight Nigeria on behalf of Cameroon over Bakassi peninsula.
